Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

I got my second dose yesterday around 330pm. Felt fine all night.
Woke up this morning and thought I was ok. Arm very sore, more than the first shot. (I did try to move my arm regularly with both doses.)
About an hour after waking I started feeling off. Achy, joint pain, run down. Took my temp and it is 99.9. Thankfully, I have today off so once DS is done with remote learning it’s going to be a chill out day.

Branchburg. Raritan community college. i called the vaccine/covid number and they give a "party line" about how they don't book appts. thru them. the number is useless but someone did pick up! the portals don't work yet. thank you so much though.

How frustrating. Hopefully they follow Rowan. I am supposed to be getting it at the Moorestown site in late March and have not heard how to get a second appointment

I just talked to DH's grandmother (79 will be 80 in early March). She had her shot Monday afternoon. Yesterday she felt pretty crummy. She said she had chills and her back (shoulder blade area) hurt as well as her arm. She also was sick to her stomach. She talked to her doctor later in the day to see if she could take Tylenol. They told her it was ok. So after so took it she started to feel better. She said she is doing much better today. She does still have a sore arm though.

In other news, I talked to my dad last night. My grandparents got their first dose. This really surprised me as the feeling I as getting is that they would not get it. THey are both close to their mid 80's. I am not sure about any side affects. My dad did tell me him and my step mom (a homeopathic doctor) may not get the vaccine. My step mom is a big anti vaxer. I was surprised to hear they are on the fence. They are both in their mid 60's and my dad is a heavy smoker and has had a heart attack a year and a half ago.

Had Moderna dose 2 around 3:30 yesterday. Arm started getting sore a couple of hours later. Was definitely more sore than after shot #1 overnight & when I woke up this morning. I have taken both Tylenol & ibuprofen since getting the shot. I am not surprised by the arm soreness, that is typical after any injection. And with getting 2 shots in the same muscle within 28 days, makes sense it is more sore this time. I’ve never had shots that close together, ever.

Coworkers have reported tiredness, headaches, mild nausea & 1 is even having severe migraine with a fever. I have close family members who have received both the Pfizer & Moderna shots, so far no one has had anything other than the sore arm. So interesting how differently the vaccines effect people.

I did not. I haven't been following as closely as I used too. I glad there are more shots to start other groups but wish more nursing home staff would get it. My niece and cousin that both work at nursing homes have gotten the vaccine.

My mom teaches in Medina county and that is where I grew up. It looks like all of their public schools are on the list as well as almost all of their private as well. I am guessing that it is because it is a smaller county. Plus my mom said that there are a lot of teachers at her school not getting it. I wonder if that played a role in it. Cloverleaf was somehow able to be the first in the county to get. They got their first dose this past week.

Cuyahoga it going to rough with how big it is. I think CMSD is not going back in person this year. I am not 100% on this though. This may have played a part in them not being on the list. This is weird on who they choose the schools though.

Update on MA rollout for those 75+. The headline on the local news website is vaccine appointment debacle. People cannot get appointments for themselves or family members. One woman waited 4 hours just to get onto a website and then no appointments. People have been trying since midnight when it became available. The state said that there is a limited supply of vaccine and appointments will be added on a rolling basis. That means people have to sit at their computers to try to get one of those added appointments. I guess I better get ready to camp out when 65+ comes up. I feel bad for people who are not computer savvy or really able to deal with the navigation needed to try to secure an appointment. The good news is the suppliers of the vaccine have upped production and the feds have said supply should be increasing as well as vaccinations each week. Let's hope.

I haven't heard of anyone I know personally having symptoms show up delayed like that...interesting! since my headache/fatigue lasted more than 24 hours my employer made me get a covid test....still waiting on those results, though I am not worried about it. I'm sure its just a cautious protocol

My friend somehow managed to get one for her Dad (who is infirm) today that is 2hrs and 45 mins away. They will need to go back there for the second shot too. I’ve been looking for a family member, too, and I agree, it’s been frustrating.

Got my 2nd dose of Moderna at 8 am yesterday. Hurt more than the 1st one. 9 pm last night I was pretty tired but otherwise fine. Woke up about midnight with chills and ached everywhere. went from chills to sweating all night. I had to work today and probably 150 of us got the shot yesterday and everyone I've talked to all had pretty much the same reaction. Several call ins (all men lmao) Feeling mostly better now, just a little achy and tired still.

At FW Outpost bus stop this morning waiting for a bus to Disney Springs and received the call for 2nd shot appointment. Now if that ain't , don't know what is.

I know but he is not following much when it comes to his heart and having the heart attack. He is a heavy smoker too and still smokes just less now. I know he eats better just because my step man is pretty close to being a vegetarian.

On my moms side we have followed the heart stuff pretty closely. My brother (half brother) was born with a heart defect. He had COID this summer and they watched him pretty closely. Luckily it was mild and they think it did not affect his heart.
