Have you ever won a sweepstakes?

I used to enter lots and lots of contests, I won a few things, camera, free Kodak photo paper - several reams (at the time this was a value of about $500).
:woohoo:

The biggest win I have had was just last month. I submitted a video of my daughter to Pampers for the Pampers relay commercial. Well she was chosen and aired in a TV commercial during the Today Show the day of the Olympics closing ceremony.

Other than that it has been little things, Disney on Ice tickets a few times and gift certificates to my favorite hair salon.

I have never in my life won any type of sweepstakes at all.....Talk about the BIGGEST LOSER!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA

I won a camcorder from the bottle caps from mountain dew a couple years back. I never drink mountain dew but my co workers do so I collected points from their drinks and entered them. I remember thinking how cool it would be to have a camcorder in disney and then I won.

I just won a Disney Vacation for four through Orbitz's Twitter!

Last week you had to tweet your best Disney tip. I figured they wanted a "promotional" sounding tip so I mustered up my best tip.

I was scrolling through my Twitter feed at work yesterday morning and then saw that Orbitz posted the winner to their contest... me!!!

I almost, no joke, fainted at work. I called my husband right away and told him all that we won. It's perfect because just a few days ago I was crying because I was thinking we wouldn't be able to afford a WDW trip this fall like i'd like to. But now... we have everything we want plus more. Here is what we won. http://www.orbitz.com/blog/

  • airfare for four
  • 7-night hotel stay in a Disney property
  • four 7-day Magic Your Way® theme park tickets with Park Hopper® AND Water Parks Fun & More options
  • $250 Disney gift certificate
  • admission to Cirque du Soleil® show for four
  • winner’s choice of spa treatment or round of golf

DH and I decided that we want to take our moms. His mom has never been to WDW! We're all so excited!

I talked to Orbitz yesterday and they said that they have to talk with a Disney to find out where we'll be staying. We chose to go from October 9-16 because my mom and I enjoyed the F&WF so much last year.

I'll definitely keep you all updated on more when I find out.

Does anyone know where they normally put sweepstakes/contest winners up? I've read of a lot of people getting to stay at a deluxe. We could never afford a deluxe on our own so that would be such a cool upgrade for us! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

The past 2 years we won tickets for 4 to Great America, other then that not too lucky.

I enter sweepstakes every day on sweepstakestoday.com. So far the only thing I have won was a Top Chef premier party. I got to invite 5 of my friends over. They each got Top Chef t shirts. I got Top Chef glasses, a bamboo pretzel bowl, pretzels, a Top Chef apron, and a flag to fly outside my house. I am hoping for a trip to Disney or Hawaii. I have also sent videos to AFV but their submission process is very long! I have also won concert tickets and Disney on Ice tickets along with a $300.00 Laser hair removal certificate I have never used.

Last year on this very week I was gone on a week long DISNEYLAND and DISNEYWORLD trip that I won:banana:It was from the store Macys. It was their Macys Celebrates Mom Sweepstakes. There was a winner from every state!

I was floored, I couldn't believe it! Trip was for 4 people, airfare, DELUXE accomodations on site (Grand Californian in CA and Yacht Club in FL) breakfast at the castle with all the princesses in California and dinner in FLorida with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, The Incredibles, gifts in our rooms, special seating to VIP things like parades. $250 gift card plus so much more! It was amazing.

It's been fun this week remember back to where we were at this time last year and what we were doing.

The only hard part was dealing with the Florida heat! Over 100 degrees with 100% humidity! It was awful. I dont' know how to deal with it being from Vermont ;)

I won the Disney Family Unbeelievable Contest:

Trip for four to my choice of New York, Chicago, Miami, or San Francisco.

We choose Miami. The trip includes round trip flights, transfers, and two hotel rooms.:banana::banana::banana:

Nothing big for me. I remember when I was about 7-8 I won a "banana seat" bike. Thought I was the stuff back then. LOL

I've been to local craft shows & such and won a couple $20 gift cards to a local restaurant.

And then I remember a few years back when I worked at a little store down the road. The manager always did a little quiz each Friday. I won!!! PRIZE? A candy bar LOL LOL LOL

I've also won a few baskets from basket raffles before.

But I'm waiting for the big one. THE LOTTERY!!!

Not a sweepstakes win but still a win for me. My name was selected by the Oprah show to attend a taping last month. We saw Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz the showing is re-airing today 6/25.

I've never won a trip but when I was younger I won some Transformers from a local tv station. I also won two life-sized Star Wars figures. I have a Watto and a Yoda. Both were from Pepsi contests.

I enter contests online and via the mail. I find them on Mouse Savers, on magazine websites, and in the coupon mailers in the sunday paper.

About a week before I was notified that I won the trip I was thinking.... "I never win anything. I enter these contests all the time."

So keep entering you never know and it only takes a few minutes a day and online it's free.

What convinced me to do mail ins too was the DISer who won the Year of a Million Dreams prize a couple of years ago. A DVC membership with all the taxes and maintenance fees paid. :thumbsup2
