Have You Ever Vacationed With Your Parents?

We're taking my mom and ILs to WDW in Nov. My ILs have never been and want to know why we love it so much. It will be great to have to babysitters on this trip. We are looking forward to it very much.

I love going on trips to Disney with Lisas family her parents love the place as much as we do it is great we have also taken my parents with us. My dad prefers to stick around the resort and swim and fish but my mom loves to go to the parks with us we have a great time no matter what parents we take with us.

Yes. Our Feb/March 2003 WDW trip was with my parents AND my MIL!!!! 9 nights at the world with 3 parents. Actually my mother in law was there 6 nights. Anyway, long story short, it actually turned out better than I had thought. We each had our own room, right in a row, at the Contemporary (thru Shades of Green). We split up often, in many different ways, and we had several meals apart too. It made for a very pleasant trip; DH & I got help with our boys from the doting grandparents, the grandparents got to spend time with the grandkids, we all had nice meals on together and on our own. I made my parents WDW believers- it was their first time and they LOVED it! My dad esp loved it cause he is used to the narrow walkways of DL and the crowds. We didn't really experience it at WDW and he just had a ball! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We were only luck enough to take my DF & DM both, on one WDW trip ever. We made some very precious memories that trip! We took both DMs at the same time at least 4 times. I just asked my DM to join us this December at Ft. Wilderness. I think shes already packed! She loves it there as much as we do.

Every Jan we go to the Dells in WI with my parents Next year will be hard since it will be without my Dad. The whole fam damily will go to Mi for a family wedding on DH side. My mom will go with to watch the boys :sunny:

I'm almost 40 and my wife is there already. We still vacation with our parents (just Mom's as both our Dad's are gone). We just got back from a 7-day cruise with her Mom. MIL was also with us for our last Disney trip in November. We did a President's Wknd trip with my Mom and cousin. They also joined us on our last cruise in 2001 and my Mom has been to Disney with us several times as well.

We do lots of shorter trips with my Mom - Lancaster, PA; New York City; Jersey Shore; stuff like that.

I hope our daughter will grow up the same way and continue wanting to travel with us as she gets older. Hopefully, she'll learn from our example.

I just got back from a 10 day vacation with my mom and she drove me nuts. I say "never again!!!". Of course, I said that the last time too.
When I first took her on vacations, we would share a room. But I discovered she keeps the TV on late at night to fall asleep to even though I am trying to sleep, she snores, and is up early in the morning and cannot be quiet while others are sleeping. Plus she is always commenting on something about me. So now we must have separate rooms. This recent trip we had separate bedrooms, but in the same condo and she still drove me nuts.
If I go on another Disney Cruise she will not be able to go because she has no money to buy her own cabin and I can't take 7 days with her in mine. Been there, done that.
