I threw myself a 25th birthday party a few years ago and my friends and I had a great time. My friend owns a bar and they had karaoke that night. She let me bring in a cake an appetizers and everyone just bought their own drinks. The theme was Girls Gone Wild and I made t-shirts for everyone and gave out Mardi Gras beads to anyone in the bar that wanted them.

Not at all! For the past 3 years, I've invited a bunch of friends out to dinner for my birthday. Everyone pays for themselves. This type of birthday celebration is pretty common among my group of friends. I've also been to house parties that people hosted for their birthdays. So don't worry, celebrate your big day however you want to & enjoy!
