Have you ever sung karaoke?

And were you drunk when you did it? A couple of coworkers were talking about karaoke and one said the only way karaoke sounds good is if the singer and the listeners are a little toasted. I've never sung karaoke and I've never been drunk, so I guess if I tried it, I'd sound horrible.

I have...both ways.... ....and both ways probably sounded terrible..so I don't think it matters...either you got it or you don't..

YES!!!!

Back when I lived in Cleveland, a couple we knew got married. For entertainment during the recpetion, they brought in a karoake machine and a a "host" to help it along.

I'll never forget my DH singing "Whole Lotta Love"... we were just laughing about that today

I have and not drunk,DBF and I sometimes go to a karaoke bar and we agree that some people are a hoot to listen to(especially after a few drinks and no offense the pre wedding parties are funny too)

I've done it a few times - definitely with quite a few drinks down first. It's a lot of fun. I agree that it is more fun to watch the "drunks" do it than the sobers - the sobers try to hard.

tishy: DBF and I have to agree,some people after a few beers crack us up(and I have cracked DBf up with me trying to sing Papa Dont Preack(Kelly Osbourne version)

besides it a cheap date since the place we like has $1 cokes and we both have fun(maybe we'll join forces on Linkin Park )

DH used to sing karaoke A LOT before we got married- he's actually pretty good!

ROFL! I used to do this on a regular basis back in the early 90s. As for the second question... this was always done in a bar setting, need I say more?
I actually have a couple tapes of me and my friends singing. These are precious memories of our party days.

I used to go to karaoke once a week . I was the sober one watching the drunks. I can sing so I was the one people were hoping to hear. I loved listening to everyone and watching them get drunker and bolder. It was so fun. Maybe I should try and do that again soon.

Yes I have done Karaoke and yes I have done it both ways! My husband is a DJ, so we all this stuff in our house...I get to try all the new songs in the privacy of my own home!! LOL

In December each year, there are a few of us who go to Kimonos and sing there...it is always fun! I am definitely no singer, but the idea is to have fun with it...

I have not, but dh used to all the time! Back in the early 90s when we were first dating, we used to go every Wednesday night to a bar with a bunch of our co-workers. The guys would go up and sing a bunch of songs. It was a whole lot of fun!
