My girlfriend and I are planning a girls weekend in Rome and I need hotel recommendations. I have been to Roma a hundred times, but since it was when I lived 2 hours away, we always only went for the day. So if anyone has ever been to Rome and spent the night I would love to know where and what you thought about it. We are going in November and plan to take the train down, so it would need to be someplace we can get to from the main train station or the Metro. Thanks!

Wow!! Rome for girl's weekend.......and to think I was excited about girl's weekend in Chicago:rolleyes: ...........no hotel suggestions, just a question.......Can I come too?:D :) don't be too scared, I'm only kidding!
Have a great time!!

The closest I have ever come to Rome is setting up a video conference with them....which is happening this morning.

My oldest son spent four nights in Rome just last month. They stayed at Starhotel Michelangelo via Della Starlone Di S Pietro 14. It was right in the center of town. He said it was close to tourist spots.:D

I've been and I've stayed but for the life of me, I can't remember the hotel. Let me dig around...if I find it, I'll post it.

This is where we stayed this past June.

It was wonderful. Small, quiet and very clean. Serena is a gem and made us feel so welcome. I can't remember how much we paid, but it was a good price for what we got. It's blocks from the vatican and everything else is in walking distance or a short ride away on the metro.

Here is where we stayed in March Hotel Gambrinus

It was really nice, there is a wonderful restaurant across the street too. It was in a pretty quiet area on the eastern side of the city, not exactly within walking distance to the touristy stuff (which I'm sure you've seen already.) but the taxi's and busses were very accessible. The hotel served breakfast, and had a bar, but did not serve dinner at all. I want to go back :D

I stayed at Hotel Isa when I was in Rome - our room was beautiful and very well tended to. It was a small and friendly atmosphere and the breakfast in the morning was always great. I'd highly recommend it. :)

Thank you all for the information and the links, I will check into them all.
