have you ever sold anything to add on

we are just about to pay off our 200 blt points.should be sometime this year.really like the idea of being dept free so not fond of financing anything else. several years back before our Disney obsession we acquired several lithographs and have thought about selling a couple to add on to our existing contract.
anyhoo Has anyone out there done something like this and did it work out?Or did you wish you had your stuff back?

I ended up selling some stock that had been gifted to me to buy an add on and we didn't regret it for a minute. It was something that we really weren't "using" anyway (except for a small dividend check every quarter) and it wasn't doing that great earnings-wise. We decided we would enjoy the DVC points much more! My only regret was having to pay income tax on the earnings, of course, but we'll deal with that...DVC points just make me happy!

I sold a car! I had an old VW Beetle that I wasn't driving and was sitting unused in my driveway. My house cleaner kept asking me if I'd be willing to sell it. When there was a great price on VGC, I sold it for just what I needed to add on at the Grand. Good deal!

Sold my soul to the devil for my initial purchase, but it is sooo worth it! Unfortunately I have nothing left to sell for the add-ons!

I sold 8 Trollbead and Pandora bracelets to buy 8 non-expiring Disney tickets with water park option, and 4 Universal season passes. Not points, but related to my love of Disney. We will use these on years we don't get season passes. I have not regretted selling them one bit - I had way too many, and am just glad to get all my money back from buying them!

At the risk of being serious for a moment, yes we have sold something to add on...but NOT to add on to DVC.

We sold SSR to add Wyndham.

We sold two small VWL ( 30 & 50 pts) contracts to buy a larger OKW contract. It added to our existing contract and it made it easier to make reservations.
