Im curious , How long did it take to find a buyer from the time you listed with an agency ( timeshare store etc)? I know traditional timeshares can take a long time to sell. I know it depends on the size so give me an example of a 50 pt(small) 160 pt( medium) or say 300pt plus. Thanks

Hilton Head 50 point tow weeks to find a buyer
SSR 50 point a few hours after it hit the email
OKW 100 point one day.

Last year we sold our 350 point VWL contract -- it took about three months. That was after two false starts (buyers couldn't come up with downpayment, couldn't get financing) and one lowball offer. We ended up selling to a lovely family who, as it turns out, posts on the DIS! We used the Timeshare Store and couldn't have been happier. :goodvibes

I sold my 100 point add-on at BCV last Oct. I listed it on a Thursday PM and sold it Friday AM.

We sold a 130pt SSR contract 2 years ago fairly quickly. We just listed a 50 pt AKV contract so I will let you know how fast it goes. Hopefully quick!

I listed a 75 point SSR contract the beginning of November and it sold in less than a day. I thought it might take longer. Still waiting to close on it but it sold very quickly.

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice.

We have a 200 point contract at SSR. Then added on 100 points at AKV. Turns out I think we would have been better off adding on at SSR just to keep the points at one resort. I am thinking of selling our AKV contract and buying a SSR resale with the same use year we already have, but don't want to lose lots of money in the process. How much does TSS charge to sell a contract and how much are closing costs on a contract such as ours? If anyone can help or point me in the right direction THANK YOU!!

I would also try calling your Guide and explaining that you would rather of added on at SSR instead of AKV and is there anything they can do to assist you get what you would be happier with. Disney would rather try to keep all transactions in house and sometimes will work with you to keep you happy and get you all the points you need where you want them. They will also get you the same use year when adding on. Tell them what your plan is to go thru the timeshare store, that will probably get them to work more to help you. It's worth a shot to see what they say.

I posted on Friday that we listed our AKV 50 pt contract. Well it went on the website today at 11 and by 1pm it was gone:cool1: We got our asking price of 104 even though we were advised to list at 94.00. Good thing we did not listen! Not sure of the exact pricing, but Timeshare is getting 10%commision, and the buyer pays closing. They were very good to work with. Good luck. Can't believe it went in 2 hours!!

Prior to my divorce my ex-husband and I sold several small contracts and transferred one. They each took lees than a month start to finish. The only one that took a little longer was the Hilton Head contract.

I sold my 230 pt OKW contract through the Timeshare Store in one day. I was asked to lower my price by $2 but I refused and the buyer accepted it anyway. I received my money in about 6 weeks.

we sold our okw, kept bcv and ssr. okw took about 2 months 230 pts with 102 banked. We had to keep dropping the price we ended up selling for 72.00 a point. The contract had to go to Disney due to first right of refusal, disney ended up buying.
