My story begins this weekend. We were driving back to North Carolina from Pittsburgh towing a U-haul trailer. This trip normally takes 8 hours but it turned into a 12 hour trip because of trailer issues, the weather (RAIN) and Interstate 40 being closed in Greensboro because lightning hit a gasoline tank and caught it on fire. So we pulled into a McDonalds to eat and decided to go inside rather than do drivethru

Thank goodness! I was really thinking the Dis had hit a new low. There has been so much TMI on here lately that a real thread like this wouldn't really surprise me any more.

Actually can you believe that. What are the chances that lightning will hit a large gasoline tank causing a fire that is big enough to close an interstate on the day that I am moving furniture from Pittsburgh to NC. What are the odds!

Oh, how awful! As if moving furniture wasn't stressful enough, you had to deal with that. Not too many people have stories like that, I bet!

Oh don't forget about the rain. It more or less rained constantly once we hit the VA boarder (the last 4 hours of the drive). Our tarp shredded half-way through the trip and thus rain got all over the furniture and ruined the finish. We need to strip and re-finish.

Well, dd just wet her pants in a Justice dressing room a few weeks ago. Granted, she isn't an adult, but she's been potty trained for a looong time!
