Have You Ever Seen a Complete Double Rainbow In the Sky?

I was sitting here at the computer, the phone rang, it was DH calling from his cell phone from the soybean field a quarter mile away. He said "grab your camera, go out on the deck and look toward Joe's (brother-in-law) house." So I did, and what do I see? A huge, entire double rainbow, in all its glory, right over our farm!!! No rain in sight. Just this HUGE rainbow from end to end! What an awesome, beautiful sight!!

And on our 35th wedding anniversary too!!! Wow!!!

I've never seen a complete rainbow before, let alone a double one. Always just see one end, and know the pot of gold must be at the other end since I can't see it! I was too excited about the rainbow to look for that pot of gold though, gosh darn it!!!

Yes - in Florida on Thanksgiving Day in 2007.. I was visiting my sister and it was absolutely gorgeous!!

We had one over our home in Montana once. We could see both ends of both rainbows. So, four pots of gold at once.

I've got the double rainbow guy beaten by a mile. I saw a TRIPLE RAINBOW in England 6 years ago. Mind you, it was not a complete triple. It was a complete double, with a partial third rainbow above. Never thought I'd see that. I was with my Aussie friend and her family and we were amazed. I'd seen a complete double rainbow a few years before that......also in England. England seems to be my lucky charm as far as double rainbows are concerned. I've see a partial double here in Texas. I'd say I've been pretty lucky. I doubt I'll ever see a triple again.

It was and it was really bright. It was off in the distance kind of behind Pop Century. By the time we ran in to get my nephews, it was fading.

I saw a beautiful one a few weeks ago on my way home from work. Almost wrecked my car staring at it, LOL. Called my friend who lives in the area, but she acted like I was silly for telling her to go look. I guess rainbows aren't that big a deal to some people.

I'm not sure why, but I've seen more complete rainbows, since I moved to Flordia, than I saw the rest of my life. I have seen a complete double rainbow. It is a beautiful sight!

I saw one in Hawaii once. I took pictures, but the colors didn't pop like they did live. I guess I didn't have the right settings on the camera.

In Hawaii we went on our cruise ships excursion to the rain forest. On the trail the group had gone on and my husband and I stopped to see the forest. Looked up and there was a double rainbow. Since the rest of the group had gone on ahead they didn't get to see it.

We just saw this one a few weeks ago at Arches National Park in Utah. You can't see the second rainbow too well in this pic. It was amazing. We hiked a mile and a half uphill to Delicate Arch in the rain, hoping that it might clear up enough to see the sunset. All of a sudden the sun peeked through and the arch lit up. Then a double rainbow appeared. It was amazing. (My husband took the picture; he had to stitch four pictures together to get the whole thing.)

Me too! We lived on a river and I always wondered if that was why we saw so many. Also, we were rural so maybe the moisture 'hanging' over the corn fields had something to do with the number of rainbows we had, and the fact that they always had both ends? I really don't know the reason but it sure was nice. We had double (and triple) rainbows almost every time it rained and almost every time with both ends. It was very uncommon to have a single or one that didn't have both ends.

We've moved to a city now, no longer on water, and we've only seen one double, without both ends, in a little over a year. We've seen a couple more 'broken' rainbows. And that's it. 3-4 total.

That is absolutely gorgeous!! I would frame it if it was mine!
