I've never done anything like this in my life, but one of the carpenters working on our house seemed like he would be perfect for a close friend of mine. I asked her if it would be okay if I told him where she was working (she works p/t with me at a large dept. store) She said yes, I told the carpenter about her- he actually went home first, changed into clean clothes to meet her, then changed and came back to work ( yes he was smiling when he got back:D ) My friend called and thinks he's wonderful, and they are going out on a date! I've never fixed anyone up before, but my first reaction when meeting this guy was "wow, you would be perfect for a friend of mine!" So, any other matchmakers out there?

I actually did....but it didn't have a "great" ending. Back in the 80's I had a friend on my side of the family. She actually was my older sisters friend from college since the 70's.....Anyway, I thought she would be perfect for this guy my DH's brother was friends with (DH and I ended up friends with him after BIL went in the airforce)

Anyway.....they met and married in 1987.....they seemed perfect for eachother UNTIL.........they divorced in 1996........SHE left him for another WOMAN!!!!! Quite the shock to us all!!!! She has since moved with her "girlfriend" down south somewhere.....I still talk on the net/phone with the guy every now and then though....

i did, but it had a really really bad ending. :o :p

My boyfriend and I played matchmaker once! When we first started dating in May of last year, we would sometimes hang out with my best friend and sometimes hang out with his best friend. But we never hung out with both of them together. We always talked about how it would be cute if they got together. One day, his best friend was over at my house and he saw a picture of me, my sister and my best friend. He thought she was cute and thought it would be nice to meet her. So of course my boyfriend and I always invited them places together with us, and always seemed to push them together. Eventually they started dating in November and everything was fine. They stayed together for a good 8 months but unfortunately things went downhill and they just broke up about a month ago. :( They're both always busy with work and school which is why they didn't always have much time for each other. That's probably the last time we'll try matchmaking (although we keep talking about how we're gonna have her meet one of our coworkers. ;) )
