Have you ever had CoCo Wheats?

My Mom grew up eating these in Indiana and West Virgina...but moving to Florida, she couldn't find any. Anytime we took a trip to WV she would stock up on some. Imagine our surprise when I found it at Publix! LOVE this stuff!

DH loves these things..... I hate them, but I am not much of a hot cereal eater anyway. I didn't realize they were a regional food.

Oh yes, this is one of my favorite cereals for the cold weather.

We had it all the time when it was cold. That or oatmeal. Chocolate and sugar for breakfast. yum!

I cannot stand them. When I was a kid my mother used to make them and she made them with lumps. The lumps were enough to make me gag! I do love cream o wheat though.

Funny thing, my DH's family loves Aunt Jamima coffee cakes and could not find them anywhere. So whenever they go anywhere they stock up on them. Well when we moved here and found them at one of the local grocery stores I got orders from everyone. I ended up going in and purchasing 75 boxes, the stock person thought I was nuts. When I was leaving the isle 2 people had gone over to where they were to see what would make someone want 75 boxes. There were going to have to wait because I cleaned the store out. By the way, they are by far the best coffee cakes!

Yeah, they had Coco Wheats in New York. My Mom made them once in awhile, but she made Farina more often. Remember Farina? It is Cream of Wheat, but a different brand. Had a picture of a boy on the box.

My kids love that stuff! When they were really little, I would make smiley faces out of minature marshmallows in it. It is really good on cold, snowy mornings. I can't find it here in OK.

I loved this stuff too --- UNTIL - Dave in the 6th grade threw them up all over the floor in math class.

mmmmm CoCo Wheats!!

Loved these in the winter...and Cream of Wheat and Oatmeal...but for some reason I never liked Maypo
