Weird topic...

I swear I just had a moment of sudden realization/understanding.

So I'm in university (Concurrent Education - BA Child and Youth Studies / BEd Primary/Junior), to become a teacher. However, the reality of this experience did not hit me until this morning. I was handing a girl $10.00 for a teaching conference - to learn how to teach various subjects and such. All of a sudden when I was walking away I said to myself "Oh my goodness, I am going to be a teacher". I always remembered hearing my teachers saying that they were going to go to teaching conferences and such, but never did I think that I would actually be going to one.

It has been my dream to be a teacher ever since kindergarten and to be able to have this experience is magnificent! At least this provides me driving power to study 24/7 for my exams :goodvibes. It means so much to be to be able to prove myself to my parents, and to show them that I can do anything, and that they don't need to worry about me. I especially want to show this to my dad, so he doesn't need to worry about me.

I love these epiphanies (even if it isn't one...I still love it, the feeling it brings of extreme happiness).

Thank you for letting me share this weird moment with you :)

I had a sudden moment of realization back in 1993. I suppose it is kind of common given the situation. I didn't get along that well with my mom during my late teens & early 20's. She was a great mom it was just mother/daughter butting heads. I found her at home and she was barely breathing. By the time the ambulance arrived her heart had stopped beating. She went into a coma and I didn't know if she would live. Told the hospital about her living will etc. (I had found my father dead from a heart attack 2 years before. Went and got my neighbors to do CPR etc) That time from when she first arrived at the hosptial until the doctors came to talk to me was eye opening and I told God if I had another chance I would never regret it. She pulled through and never a day has gone by I don't thank God for her. Hardly a day goes by we don't talk (just if our schedules don't work out). I am so thankful for a second chance.

Congrats! But take it from a 41-year old daughter with a great job and a lovely husband... our daddies will NEVER stop worrying about us!

I had my epiphany due to my dad. He HATED the job he had for 29 years. The work, the pay, his boss, etc. One day, after hearing him again complain about his job, I swore I would NEVER have a job I hated. And yes, I do love my job.

I made up my life off ephipanies. I write stories based on those. Listen to your ephipanies but later on, try to see if they would "work"

Late one night on a school bus, I saw myself in the reflection on the window and knew that I would be a librarian someday, that I loved everything about books, etc. I was right.
