Have you ever had a waitlist NOT come through?

Yes, a 2 Bedroom BCV last May.
I had booked a one bedroom at the 11 month mark for myself and a GF.
Another GF decided to join us four months before the trip. Waitlist never came through. We just made do with the one bedroom.

We waitlisted for BCV studio for Nov 10-13 and it didn't come through for us. So we wound up at SSR for those three nights before moving over to the BCV. Which we enjoyed, so it worked out we tried 2 resorts during our stay!

Yes this trip. I needed one night at SSR...but it was Thanksgiving and we ended up staying at ASMU for that night in a family suite. Live and Learn.....NEVER AGAIN.

Yep, we have been waitlisted since May 13th for 12/7-12/13 for either AKV or VWL. They have not come thru, so we are going to just enjoy SSR this year. Today is the 7 day mark.

We were waitlisted at the BC this Oct. It did not come through but I expected that being it was the F&W festival.

I thought that all waitlists were cancelled at the 7 day mark. Do they actually continue right up until the day of?

Yea! 3 years in a row! Been trying to get into the BWV for 3 years now (am at the BCV, just want a change of scenery) and have yet had any luck! I call 6am sharp on the 7 month mark, and have never been able to get it.
Maybe I need some pixie dust thrown around on me or something.

What time of the year are you trying to book?

Up till now I've been 100% with waitlists coming through. This spring, however, it'll be a different situation since we are staying at HHI. The Tuesday smack dab in the middle of our trip is unavailable, and it being Hilton Head, my only option was to use my Marriott Rewards point to reserve something for that night.

We were able to booke HHI for a Sunday and Thursday/Fridaynights in June, but our Mon, Tues, and Weds are booked I am hopeful it will come through and have no back up plan.

You can call MS around 10 days out and extend your waitlist. I also call around 33 days out to make sure the Waitlist was not set to expire at the 31 day mark

At first I wondered about this too, but the waitlist was for the last night of my trip, which was still about 9 days from when it came thru, not for the whole trip. Seven days before the waitlist night, I would have already been there. Sorry, I should have been clearer.

I'm waitlisted for a 2B boardwalk view for 4/22 & 23. If it goes through, I'll be dropping a BW view studio and a garden pool studio on the 22nd and 2 garden/pool studios on the 23rd. I hope mine goes through and I can in turn help someone else!
