We will be arriving sometime between 10 am and noon. Because our kids are young we are leaving around midnight the night before and driving down while they sleep. DH will need to nap once we arrive...what are the chances of us getting to check into our room before 3pm? We are staying at the Poly in late July.

Thanks!

We have been able to go right to our room in the AM a few times. Also have had to wait until the last possible time.Just a crapshoot.Maybe seeing you have 2 little ones might help, but don't hold your breath.;)

I have stayed at the Poly twice and been able to check in early (10:00 AM -11:00 AM) both times. It really depends on how many rooms are available.

You are always able to check in early. However, actually getting into the room is different. It depends on how many people have checked out that day, and how full the hotel is.

Late July you will probably get to go in a couple hours early.

We usually arrive by 11Am and have always been able to get into our room when we checked in. One time we drove and arrived at 8Am and were able to get inot our room. Even if your room isn't ready you can still use the amenities.

I just got back from the Poly, and we were able to go right to our room when we arrived at 11am or so. When we stayed at the POP last year, same thing. No problems going to our room upon arrival.

Good Luck! I hope you experience the same when you go.

You can't ever depend on your room being ready when you get there. If it's not, you can tell them that you will take any room that is ready. You won't get your requests if you made any if you take any room that is ready.

Your best bet would be to plan that your room is not ready when you get there. You can hang by the pool and your husband can rest there. Or, you can find an empty hammock (probably not hard to do in mid day in July) and your husband can sack out there. He can even find a couch or something in the lobby or inside the main building for his nap.

That way, if your room is ready, you will be very happy. If it's not, you will be very prepared.

Great advice...we've been able to get in a room early on several trips but have traded our requests for it. Sometimes it's worth it to wait if you can.

We did on our most recent trip...we arrived at the resort around 10am, checked in (our room was ready:banana: ), we dropped off our carry on bags, went to eat lunch and buy our refillable mugs, then we were off to MK by 11:30am!!! It was wonderful...the trip prior to that we did not get our room until after 4pm...it was a real bummer because we were looking forward to resting, changing and freshening up once we arrived (we had driven that year) before our 6pm ADR at Ohana...we did not have park tickets that day because we knew we would not arrive until 1pm and we did not want to waste a park day...hopefully it will work out for you! Here's a little pixie dust to help out...pixiedust:

well, I have been 23 times now, and have stayed everywhere from the BWI steeplechase suite to the CBR and have always checked in before noon. We always catch the first flight out, and get in early!

Only once in all those times did we have to wait, and it was for our 1 bedroom villa at the BW.

But who knows, it could be because I always go on off times!:confused3
or just lucky?

We arrived early at asmu last year and we checked in and went to our room with no problem...I assume if the values are like that, the other resorts would be as well

I have stayed at onsite resorts 8 times and only once, not including the time we arrived very late due to a flight delay, were we not able to check in early. It was actually this last trip in Jan of this year, at the WL that our room was not ready. All of the other times, we were able to get into our room right away. It obviously has to do with their availabilty of clean rooms, and I also believe luck...so good luck, I hope you get one! :goodvibes
