Have you ever gone to DL and..

We live in Utah so not too far away but we have had a couple of run-ins. On our last trip in 2004 (I know, sad) we were leaving at the end of the day and headed out to the shuttles when who would be walking RIGHT next to us but this horrible woman who used to work with my dad. Really, with all the people in DL, did we really need to see HER?

The second was on a DL trip but at the hotel. We live in a very small town in Utah, everyone knows everyone kind of place. One night we all decide to go down to the hot tub and as we get there we see that there is only one other family down there. Yay!! As we get closer we realize that it is a family from our very small Utah town.

My dad is the king of seeing people he knows though. He has traveled all over the country in his life and is a very friendly and charismatic (sp) man so you can't take him anywhere without him seeing someone he knows.

Okay kiddos, this is a lesson to you all: Don't do anything at DLR that you don't want your parents to know about. Someone that you know, that you least suspect, will see/hear about it and then so will mom and dad!:rotfl:

A few times. We are local so we go often. We did run into some friends of a friend when we went to WDW. The mutual friend knew we were both going at the same time, but never thought to tell us since she thought we would never run into each other. We ended up in line behind them at DHS (MGM). We spent half the afternoon touring the park together. It was fun. And he just happens to be an Imagineer who worked on the ride we were in line for.

Sure have, several times! But we are coming from Oregon so it's not that far. We ran into some really great friends of ours whom we had seen the week before. We were both walking through the GCH lobby and there they were! We arrived and were leaving on the same exact days! We all hung out most of the trip so it was fun!! :cool1:

yep...we knew our friend were heading there last week...but we didn't think we didn't think we'd run into her. as we were trying to get a spot to watch the fireworks last friday night 10/10, she called out dh's name and we said a quick "hello" and got settled for the fireworks (which was close to being cancelled, but luckily, it wasn't!).

It is strange to be in Disneyland and have someone you know walk right in front of you. What are the chances of being at the same place at the same time and just a few feet away from each other?

Well, I booked my spring break trip with my DD, sister, and mom a few months in advance and posted something about it on my myspace page. A few weeks later, my step-mom called to tell me that they had a trip planned at the exact same time, but it was going to be a surprise for my younger brother and sister. My brother had seen it on myspace. Otherwise, we may have not realized that we were going to be there at the same time. So, that was pretty crazy. At least my mom and dad get along, and who would have thought we would all be in Disneyland at the same time.

While there, I saw one of my students (I am a HS teacher), my dad saw a lady from the local hamburger joint, my mom saw a customer from her bank, and while getting off of Buzz, I turned around and one of my coworkers was right behind me. We live in Western Washington.

DL is a big place, but there are A LOT of people that go there.

Just last Thursday my DW and I were taking my sister, her DH, and two small fry to DL for the first time, and we ran into my cousin from Agoura (60 miles away) and her DH and two DS's, waiting for the Mickey and Friends tram. Particularly surprising since it was a weekday, but it was a non-student day due to teacher training (or something like that). What are the odds that our trajectories would intersect like that?

I live in Las Vegas and have run into customers from my store, old friends , kids classmates and a teacher last year! it is a small world after all!

We live in Las Vegas too and almost always see people we know. My DH is a pediatrician and we run into patients all the time.

Many times! I'm a teacher and we would often go during my spring break and several times we'd run into other people from our school district! :)

Even coming from as far as Hawaii, I always seem to run into people I know. This trip alone, I saw three people with whom I went to high school (One of them is a cast member, so I was kind of looking for her)

In 1994 when my family and I first went to DL - I was 11 - we ran into the family of a school friend. We came from a small school, from a small town thousands of miles away, and we just happened to spot each other in critter country...:lmao:

I didn't quite realise what sort of a big deal this was when I was little, I remember thinking that getting my photo taken with her was strange, when my mum suggested it, because we had lots of photos together back home... :rotfl:
