Not that I have fallen asleep at work or anything:o ;) Just wondering if it had ever happened to anyone else:)

It was not uncommon in my previous job for me to fall asleep for 15 minutes or so after lunch. Never on purpose, though. ;)

I don't think I've done that at my current job, though :)

Believe it or not I have come so close! When my eyes glaze over looking at the computer I know it's time to go for a walk to the restroom or something.

We have caught someone sleeping here at work before!

Not me, but there is a guy I work with who naps in a cube across from mine at lunch time...he has another one of our coworkers wake him up when lunch is over.

when I was pregnant with my younger dd and taking care of a toddler and working full time, I was tired all the time. but I only fell asleep at my desk once.

Deb, I have no idea what you are talking about

Many, many times. I find that I am much more productive if I squeeze in a 10-15 minute nap sometime throughout the day.

There is an older woman at work that falls asleep at her desk a half dozen or so times a year. She is not even in a cubical. After a good laugh someone usually calls her number to wake her up. She also can not hear very well, but claims everyone she talks to in person or on the phone mumbles. My wife feels sorry for her and refuses to fire her. She warns her about it all the time, but never takes any action.

I have fallen asleep countless times in meetings. Its so embarrassing. I had to explain to my new manager on my first day that when I sit still for any length of time I tend to fall asleep. He was understanding, but sure enough, just the other day I was snoozing in his meeting. I was trying sooooo hard not to do it, but it finally got to the point where I couldn't help myself and the next thing I knew I was nodding.

Since I am standing up cutting hair, I'd better pass on the enticing thought of grabbing a 5-10 minute nap. ;)

I have had several clients fall asleep while I'm doing their hair though. :)

Yep every 24 hr shift I do :p :p :p :p

Only once at my previous job. I was in a meeting with a potential customer! However the circumstances should explain.

We had a project that had to be ready on a Friday at 6 PM. Everything was on track. Came in Thursday morning and over the previous evening, someone had tried to run the machine and crashed it! We started working on it first thing Thursday morning and worked straight through until 6 PM on Friday. I was in the office and out on the floor working on that machine for 36 hours.

As I was headed back to my office to get my keys and go home, my boss caught me and wanted to introduce me to a potential customer and asked me to explain the capabilities of our electrical engineering department. I was fine while I was talking but the customer started explaining what they needed and I fell asleep. I explained what we had just finished doing and he was very nice about it. I think he was actually upset with my boss for pulling me into the meeting when I hadn't slept for 36 hours and needed to go home.

As I recall, we did get some business from this customer so it must not have influenced him too much.

I had a co-worker that took naps everyday. He'd prop his feet on his desk and lean back in his chair. One day he snoozed a little too deeply and fell back against the cubicle bringing the wall down! It made a terrible racket. So funny.

Everyone ran to see if he was alright. He was disoriented and laying on his back in his chair. He looked like a bug stuck on his back with his arms and legs thrashing. (He was ok.) He got up with help and put his cubicle wall up pretty quickly.

I have before too...in the bathroom though!!!! Sometimes I get some very bad headaches, deeping on my stress level at work, or it gets very hot in my office and so I get up to take a walk and go to the restroom - before I know it my head is leaning against the stall and I'm nodding off......

I have an empty classroom and a 50 min. plan time that I can do what I want with.
During my 1st trimester of being PG I often pulled 2 desks together and cat napped. When the bell rang I knew to get up.

However, I used to do an hour of supervision of ISS. That is in school suspension. The kids are placed in a room and not allowed to talk or sleep or even look at each other, they must just do their school work. (high school) It gets very warm in the basement where they are and it's very quiet. Once I nodded off, I was so tired. They never even noticed thank goodness. It was about 10 min. maybe.

Yes, when I worked the 12 hour night shift at my old work place. Many times.....:p

When we got everything caught up(old job) and there was nothing to do we usually slept til quitting time..

Now outside of work I do all the time. If I get to work early I nap in my car for 20 -30 minutes. I just automatically wake up in time to get in to work. I have also taken little naps at lunch before. I'll go read in my car and doze off for a little bit.
