Have you ever emailed the wrong person?

To my knowledge, I've never sent an e-mail to the wrong person.

dh is searching for a new job and if I see anything that suits him, I'm allowed to go ahead and send his cover letter and resume. Even though I change his letters accordingly, I always worry that I've sent the wrong cover or resume, especially since sending attachments is fairly new to me. what a trusting dh.

I have received an important e-mail intended for someone else though.
It was a confirmation of an airline e-ticket. I let the airline know their about their error and they e-mailed the persons information to me again

Oh yeah! It was at work too. Just when I started using email and typed in something incorrectly and my smart aleck note went to someone at the corporate level who did not think I was anywhere near as funny as I did. Whew!

Yes and it was not a pretty scene. What I did was send it to the person that I was thinking about. I also received one after a class reunion, I wrote to an ex-boyfriend, I think he forwarded it to a friend and the friend sent it back -- it went to me and the ex-boyfriend. Lucky for him it was complimentary. I also have two friends with the same first name and I'm constantly sending stuff to the wrong person, but nothing that would get me in trouble.

After replying earlier that I have never e-mailed the wrong person guess what I did this morning.

I replied to a job recruiter when I thought I was e-mailing dh. Luckily, nothing revealing and she knew the message was from me not dh.

I don't know if I ever e-mailed the wrong person , I never PM'd the wrong person but I did get someone's paternity tests results in my e-mail once!

I've never emailed the wrong person, but I have accidently PM'd myself. I meant to click the PM button under someone's post, but I clicked the one under my reply instead.

I once sent an email to my DH that was meant for my mom...I was complaining about my MIL.

DH did it at his previous job. He was in the accounting dept of major health care provider. The parent co. sent out an email about how they were filing for reorganization & how other companies did that all the time & there was nothing to worry about, they were not declaring bankruptcy.... DH read between the lines & meant to email his buddy. Something to the effect of we WILL declare bankruptcy any day now. He clicked the wrong email address. Turned out it was someone very high up at corporate & the spouse of one of the parent company's VPs. DH refused to write her an apology & ended up resigning. He is much happier now.

Hi ~ I had a phone call that went like this:

RING RING (I answer)

Sandra: Hello?
Caller: Hi Sandra, it's Dad.
Sandra: Hi Dad, how's it going?
Caller (Dad): Great, mom said you wanted to chat.
Sandra: She did?
Dad: Yes, so what's up?
Sandra: Everything is fine, what did she say?
Dad: She said you aren't feeling good.
Sandra: I'm fine

the call went on like this for 10 minutes

Sandra: Dad, I'm not sure I'm your daughter.
Dad: WHAT!!!!!!??????@$#^$%##(&*^#@
Sandra: Is your name Fred?
Dad: NO, It's Bruce.
Sandra: You have the wrong number.
