Have you ever eaten Antelope meat?

If so, did you like it? What does it taste like? My husband just got back from Antelope hunting and he's bringing it to the butcher today.

It's lean and gamey. Make some Jerky out of it...you dont get much from antelope. We just ate at the Concourse Steakhouse and I swear their Filet was antelopish! It's not as good as elk. I dont like gamey tasting meat.

Actually it varies greatly-a young antelope killed early in the day when it hasnt run much makes wonderful meat-but get an older one a buck in the rut or one that was killed running and YUCK-we had some once that was so strong our dogs wouldnt eat it. im with utah mama-make jerky or sausage out of it;

I've had it in a stew. It was really good! The stew cooked long and low, so the meat was very tender. I didn't notice a particularly gamey taste either.
