Have you ever been called a troll?

T&B, I don't think nastiness = troll. A passionate response to an issue that struck a nerve on a poster could possibly be seen as nasty by some, but they would be wrong. A poster could post for years, making many friends along the way. Then one day he posts a very emotional and well thought out post, gets labeled a troll and banished. I'm speaking hypothetically, of course.

If you truly feel someone is a troll, and I haven't seen any true trolls in this thread, why give them the satisfaction of a response? This board moves quickly enough that without responses their trolling will drop off the page quickly.

I totally agree that nastiness doesn't equal a troll. I've seen some nasty people who were not being trolls. My point was just that as far as being able to express a viewpoint and not be jumped on that it should be done respectfully. And we should be respectful when responding back to someone. Like we are doing.

Actually woudln't it be really funny if I was sir real? (I am not but would't that be a hoot?) Actually I thought that through more and I think it would be rather lame of me.

I agree with T&B, manners mater, even on the interent. Disagreeing isn't the problem, it is being nastly. True all nasty isn't trolling, but I have to admit I normally wish they would just go hang out under a bridge instead of here!
