I was pretty much called a troll back during American Idol 4 in the thread for that show. I was basically expressing the way I was voting and a lot of people disagreed with it.

Yup- here's the thread! I posted about our experience with Magical Express service and mentioned pool hopping. We WERE encouraged when we asked at the various desks about it, and we asked the lifeguards. So, I was wrong about that, and even admitted it, but was treated very nastily by some ....can't even call them women, they had fangs. I had no idea that pool hopping was a hot topic here, as I certainly don't live on these boards, but others assume everyone kows all the rules here.

I don't buy bridges.....just ivory towers.....though there are enough of both of them in Joisey.

I think it matters *how* someone disagrees with others. There are people who are so nasty about it. That's what I don't like. And that can be from someone who is stating their view or someone being nasty back to them about that view.

I wasn't thinking Duckfan, but I do have my guess.

T&B, I don't think nastiness = troll. A passionate response to an issue that struck a nerve on a poster could possibly be seen as nasty by some, but they would be wrong. A poster could post for years, making many friends along the way. Then one day he posts a very emotional and well thought out post, gets labeled a troll and banished. I'm speaking hypothetically, of course.

If you truly feel someone is a troll, and I haven't seen any true trolls in this thread, why give them the satisfaction of a response? This board moves quickly enough that without responses their trolling will drop off the page quickly.
