Have You Eaten At Boma...

definitely one of the best breakfast buffets at WDW. The frunch is great.

I also enjoy the dinners there, I have not found that anything is really over spiced, but the tastes are definitely different from what I normally would have to eat.

I will be going back again to Boma.

While I will try just about any food, DW and DDs are very picky. Our whole family loves Boma for dinner. DW and DDs mostly stick with the prime rib and the "potatoes with Afritude", and I'll sample a little bit of the more unusual dishes(the various soups are wonderful). The desserts are also very nice.:earsboy:

We tried Boma for the first time back in October on a trip with the whole family. DW and I return this Aug. for our 30th anniv. and during this stay, Boma and CG are the only repeat TS's. Even if your children are picky eaters, I would always suggest Boma. It is a must do if your not staying at AKL just to make you go.

we went there this past Monday and I have to say it wasn't as good as the last time we ate there. Prime Rib, soups and kids food were fine. But salads and coucous dishes and other sides were not as good.

THis is normally my favorite restaurant so I was really disapppointed. My DH tried the Tusker beer and loved it.

Can I ask a dumb question? What is a traditional Japanese breakfast?

We had breakfast there our last trip and it was fantastic. Fresh made omelettes if you're not adventurous (DH) and other great choices if you are. I'm looking forward to trying dinner there on our next trip. Hopefully my DH won't mind too much.

Well, don't know exactly, but our waiter (and, if you're going to be dining at Boma, definitely ask for this guy--he's excellent), by the name of Chaidan--who was Asian himself--pointed out to us a Japanese family and told us that not many people know it, but the chefs at Boma can prepare a "traditional Japanese breakfast", and the only component of which I remember is pickled fish of some sort. He asked us if we'd like to try it, but we just weren't brave enough to make the attempt.

I loved the food but I realized the hard way that my stomach doesn't really like curry. :rotfl2: I guess I don't need to explain anything. hahaha
