Have you done any Christmas baking yet?

And if so, what have you made?

I haven't started yet, but was wondering what everyone else has made.. :flower:

Haven't started yet ... but know we'll make the "usual" -- peanut butter blossoms and sugar cookies. Will try my hand at making mexican wedding cakes b/c they're my favorites!

Will also make some chocolate dipped goodies -- mainly pretzels and oreo's. Yummy!

I just did a few cut-out sugar cookies with DS yesterday but I cheated. I bought the already rolled sugar dough and DS and I just used the cookie cutters and then used Christmas sprinkles on them. They really are pretty good though! ;)

I've already made one batch of fudge and one batch of Mexican Wedding Cakes (Russian Tea Cakes). I use macadamia nuts instead of walnuts and it works great! We had a large neighborhood Christmas party so they went pretty fast, I may have to make another batch just to get a taste!

Some,

so far I've made a batch of sugar cookies and l0 mini loaves of pumpkin/cranberry bread.

herc.

I've made two different shortbread cookie recipes. They were "new" recipies for me this year. I wasn't overly impressed with them so I think I'll go back to my Chocolate Chip Shortbread Sticks drizzled with chocolate.

I have baked a ton. I have baked 2 cheesecakes, pumpkin and egg nog, ginerbread cookies, peppermint bark, and peppermint , eggnog, and pumpkin pie fudge. Also a ton of differnt cookies and pies!! I love Christmas.

I've started making cookie doughs and freezing them. I'll do the actual baking on Wednesday....

Chocolate Peppermint Crinkles
Ginger Snaps
Butter Spritz
Cranberry Orange Biscotti dipped in chocolate
Oatmeal Raisin
Chocolate Chip
Peanut Butter Kisses

Ummmmm..why did I ask this? Now I'm hungry!! They all sound yummy! :)

What's this pre-made "rolled sugar cookie cut-out dough" that was mentioned here? I don't usually go with the pre-made stuff, but this year I don't feel like doing a ton of baking from scratch, yet I want to do some cut-outs with my granddaughter.. Is it made by Pillsbury or what?

I made two batches of cookies: reese's peanut butter cup and chocolate raspberry.

I made chocolate covered pretzels and marshmallows and also seven layer cookies (without the nuts, so they are really six layer ones hehe). I took them to work on Friday for my co-workers. No one seemed to appreciate the gesture, so I'm going to skip that idea next year :flower:

I made some sand tarts! Going to make some candy cane cookies too...

I found them at Wal-Mart. They are Pillsbury Sugar Dough Sheets. There are 2 sheets per pack and the package made around 2 dozen cookies. They were great for DS. :)

YUM! I love anything pumpkin or eggnog!

I made cranberry/white chocolate chip cookies today, and some chocolate fudge. Still have to make some nutmeg logs.....little log shaped cookies that get some frosting and sprinkle of nutmeg! They are a family standard! Mom makes them best.

I spent 6 hours in the kitchen today doing all of my cookie platters. I must have made about 20 dozen or so. I made peanut butter kisses, russian tea cakes, spritz christmas tree cookies, sugar wreath cookies, orange blossoms and fudge. And I am pooped!

I'll make: 7 layers bars, butter sandwich cookies, lemon bars and chocloate chip. DS's last shift at his last job (usually bartending, but was just catering this time) was for the Walnut & Almond Growers of California, so he gave me the walnuts & almonds they were given. I'll use them for sure in the layer bars - not sure what else - maybe candied almonds.

Could someone share a good fudge recipe with me. I've tried to make fudge several times over the years, but it always comes out awful, but I'm willing to give it another try!
I make great shortbread cookies that everyone has to have, I usually make several batches during the holidays, I don't care for them myself so that's a good thing.

I made Nut Rolls and Peppermint Bark today. I am going to make 7-Layer Cookies tomorrow. I think I am also going to make M&M Cookies and maybe one other, the cranberry/white chocolate chip one sounds yummy.
