Have you done a split stay? How did it work?

We're doing 5 nights at POP and then 5 nights at AKL. Do they move your bags for you? Do you have to be at both resorts when they take yur bags from one and then move them to the other? How smooth was the transaction? Thanks

We've done it dozens of times. They will move your bags - call to have them picked up by bell services (they will probably ask you to be present when they are picked up) - and when you arrive at your next resort, call to see if they've arrived. They transfer bags at least a couple of times per day. No problem!

We moved from GF to AKL and we just left the bags in the room (bell services knew and we left a tip on the bags) and called for them when we got to our room at AKL later that day. We also had to move rooms at Pop earlier this year (went from one to connecting) and did the same, left the bags/tip and they were in our new room when we returned.

We just did a split stay at the YC and Poly. We had a rental car so we took our bags ourselves. I had booked 4 nights at the YC with a 7 day MYW Plus Pack ticket and 4 nights room-only at the Poly. When we got to the Poly, they gave us new cards for our room there. We then took both our old and new cards to the guest relations desk and they combined them onto one card so we wouldn't have to keep our old cards to get into the parks. It worked out great!

We've done a couple of split stays and everything went very smoothly. This past summer we were moving from the Wilderness Lodge to the Polynesian. When they came to pick up our bags from our room at the WL they put tags on them and gave us receipts for them.
