Have you decided what your plan will be for the new LLMP and LLSP process?

There are 3 people in my family, me, DH and DS (8).

I guess I’ll try to get the ones I think will be harder first, so SDD and TBA?

I’ve already warned them that I don’t really know how this is going to go and not to have any expectations. I’ll do the best I can to get what everyone wants but I’m prepared for frustrations.

My MPLL order based on park
Magic Kingdom order
- Tier 1: Jungle Cruise, earliest time available. Should be easiest to book with an early return time compared to the others.
- Tier 2: Magic Carpets and Pirates. Earliest time possible. In order to start booking the next MPLL.
Then use Thrill-Data to determine when best to pull the other Tier 1s.

Epcot order
- Tier 1: Remy or Frozen. Frozen if starting at International Gateway, Remy if starting at Main Entrance based on which resort I am staying at and Early Entry.
- Tier 2: Journey into Imagination, Living with the Land. Earliest time possible. In order to start booking the next MPLL.
Then use Thrill-Data to determine when best to pull the either Remy or Frozen.

Hollywood Studios order
- Tier 1: Slinky. Do not care about the return time and will modify to get earlier time.
- Tier 2: Alien Saucers and Toy Story Mania. Earliest time possible. In order to start booking the next MPLL.

Animal Kingdom order
- Navi River, Safari, and Everest. Will modify return time to get earlier time.

Pretty sure our plan will be to buy none of it. We'll get on what we can and if we don't, no big loss. We've been coming enough that I see no reason to worry about maximizing rides anymore and our kids are grown so they do their own thing. My DD22 is joining us for part of our next trip (rented a house). She will probably still buy MP but she's still not definite on all days, etc.
Same here. We have been on most attractions already due to many trips. Never paid for Genie+ and have no plans to pay for Lightning Lanes. I will do the Virtual Queues which I can usually get into with no problem. This will be more than likely our last trip due to our ages. I am turning 70 next month. We plan on a nice relaxing 8 days at WDW. So I just looked at pricing for Genie+ about 35 per day for multiparks per person? 8 days x$25 x 2 guests. = $400. Wow pretty sneaky way to increase pricing on top of gate pricing if you ask me. I just watched a video of someone showing how to set up their family's day with the Lightning passes. I stressed out on just the time they have to spend on the phone on top of all the other phone options. Our plan is to enjoy our park experiences and not add stress.

Do we think there will still be virtual queues in the next year? I’m banking on there being none when we go in May 2025 which will make me have to decide on standby or ILL for Guardians and TRON.

We weren’t planning on getting G+ for our pre cruise trip in September at all, just ILLs, except for one day and the LLMP changes specifically hosed our plans; Friday 9/20 is a party day at MK and I was going to have us rope drop there and finish up whatever we didn’t get to do at EEH on our arrival night, and I was going to stack LLs for the evening at HS. But that’s all out the window now with the death of stacking, so I need more info on afternoon park arrival logistics to figure out our game plan. With the little we have now im wondering if the new “stacking” meta for park hopping will be to prebook 3 throwaways in park 1, tap in and start booking for park 2 so you’re not subject to the tiers. But that sounds like such an obvious loophole I can’t imagine it’ll be possible. So yeah need more info.

Sorry if I’m not understanding but, with your plan, why would you not just book your first 3 LLs at the second park you’re going to and book them for later in the day? If you do ETPE at your first park, waits would be minimal compared to later. Possibly I’m missing something? I will say I haven’t planned too much until we have additional LLMP details.

Possibly you’re not planning to RD your first park? That might be the part I’m not understanding.

Because of the Tiers. HS is really lopsided with Slinky Dog, MFSR, RNRC and MMRR all in Tier 1. If I prebook for the evening at HS, I'll only be able to walk in with Slinky Dog (and whatever Tier 2s) and will need to pull the others after tapping in. MMRR I'm really not worried about because standby waits tend to drop significantly for it in the evenings, and so does MFSR. But RNRC is a must do for me and I'm worried I won't be able to pull it if I wait to start rolling LLs until we get to HS.

We will be there 9 nights and will most likely buy it for 8 days. We are go all in people. 😂

I won't make the reservations in date order - this order so far:
Slinky on the Saturday (we arrive Tuesday) before Jollywood Nights.
Tiana on the Thursday before the Christmas Party.
Remy on the Wednesday.
And then go back and buy Tron for the Thursday before party and Guardians on the Sunday.
Then go in and fill in all the blanks!

This is of course assuming I can just buy all the days at once instead of having to do each day at a time, which even then I'll probably still go in the above order.

For reference we arrive week after Thanksgiving.

I think it is buy one day at at time. Otherwise, I'd think you'd lose some of your pick before you could complete all 9 days.

The wording is a bit vague
Making plans for multiple park days? After you purchase Lightning Lane passes for your first day, you can purchase a Lightning Lane pass or passes for another eligible park day.

This sounds to me like each day will be a completed transaction.

That was my take as well.

Okay yeah, that makes sense.

I will still do in this order, but will just purchase/complete whole days in this order. I think? I'll have to see everyone's experience!

The language below is less vague. It seems you complete your purchase at Step 4, then can purchase another at Step 5. From the Disneyworld website:

"When you’re ready to purchase Lightning Lane passes, here’s what to do:
  1. Open the My Disney Experience app, then tap the Lightning Lane Passes section on the home screen.
  2. Select a date and theme park.
  3. Select a Lightning Lane Single Pass, a Lightning Lane Multi Pass or both.
    • If you select a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can choose up to 3 Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows in advance.
    • If you select a Lightning Lane Single Pass, you can choose an arrival window in advance.
  4. Follow all prompts to complete your purchase—and receive a confirmation.
  5. From the confirmation screen, you can tap “Plan Another Day” to purchase another pass—or tap “View My Day” for details about your Lightning Lane selections."

I imagine you can do your days out of order though? Since we are booking 7 days ahead anyways.

Has Disney confirmed a guest will be able to hold more than 1 Tier 1 at a time?? I hope once a guest has tapped into their first they will be able to book any LL next but with how complicated things are these days, it seems too simple which concerns me.

I’m looking forward to July 24th when hopefully we’ll start to understand more of the details.

That's what seems unclear. In theory, the announcement sort of implied that the tiers only applied to your prebooking window, and once you start tapping in to use them you wouldn't be subject to them. But I'm really not sure and it's one of the things I'm waiting for data on when it goes live. It's kind of inconvenient because our ADR day is this coming Sunday and whether or not I'll be able to pull off a pseudo stacking strategy for HS in the evening is going to determine our meal plans for that day.

Perhaps they haven't confirmed it as explicitly as we'd like, but here's language from the Disneyworld website: "Once you redeem a selection on the day of your park visit, you can choose another multi pass experience from either group (subject to availability)." I read that as meaning you can book a Group A (aka Tier 1) after redeeming a group B (aka Tier 2). I think the bigger question is whether you can modify a Group B to a Group A, (or cancel and rebook, or wait until day-of and book then). I think being able to modify from Group B to Group A on day-of provides a greater chance to abuse the system then simply adding a Group A after each time you redeem (tap Into) a Group B. And if you can modify on day-of, when? 7:00? Park opening? After redeeming your first LL? If it is a set time for everyone, such as 7:00, I can see that causing people to get up before 7:00 in order to modify their LL reservations. There goes the idea that this new system eliminates the need for an early morning alarm.

Well..."Once you redeem a selection on the day of your park visit", you can choose...

This sounds like not before park opening -- because you can't redeem before park opening.
It also sounds like letting a throwaway expire doesn't work. Does letting something expire = redeem?

I'm still stuck on it reads to me like you can prebook a tier 1 only, use it and then add 3 tier 1.

Why can't they just put out a video explaining all of this?

There's another part of the Disneyworld website that seems to include expirations:

"On the day of your park visit, once you redeem a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection (or once the arrival window has passed), you can use the My Disney Experience app to check availability for another Lightning Lane Multi Pass experience—and add to your plans."

"Once the arrival window has passed" seems to me to equal expiration.

And they say you can modify your selections, even before day-of. The question is whether there are any restrictions on that modification (like being able to change a Group B to a Group A), either before day-of and/or on day-of.

They have put out videos. The videos are somewhat vague. That is no surprise. Disney has been doing things that way for ages. One reason is because it would take a very long and boring video to explain all the ins and outs of the current Genie+ system (and LLMP should be as bad if not worse). I suspect another reason is that they want the flexibility to make changes without being accused of violating their own rules. "What rules? We never published any detailed Genie+ rules."
