Thoughts? popcorn::

90 days until Disney and already checking out the menu to see what I want to eat.

Yes and we were really disappointed in it. Ugly interior, IMO, low quality food, tasted like boxed/canned stuff. We felt screwed at the end of the meal, honestly...

We ate there twice on our April trip and really enjoyed both meals. On Easter Sunday, we had the buffet and although there wasn't a huge selection, it was all very tasty and fresh. Our second time was a spur of the moment dinner. The waitstaff was very nice and efficient and the food was delicious.

We ate dinner there last December and really enjoyed it. Out of a group of 7 adults, we all enjoyed our meals. One thing to note though is the menu can change seasonally. I would not hesitate to eat here again though.

Okay, looks like we will keep the reservation and hope we don't have an experience like Minnesota did. Wish me luck.

Not much help on lunch or dinner. We had breakfast there, and we loved it!! My husband loved it so much that he wanted to go back, we just didn't have enough time to fit it in. The sweet potato pancakes are amazing!!

We have had breakfast there the last two years... and we really enjoyed it. They have more natural and organic options, and was kind of refreshing after a week of guilty pleasures.

Haven't tried lunch or dinner, so can't help you on that end...

I think a lot depends on your expectations and mood.

It is quite an odd mix of styles, with a very stylised funky blue entrance, but then quite a large amber coloured room with brighter lighting than I expected. It felt a bit more like a canteen than a restaurant in some way. But then there were little alcoves I seem to recall that were more moodily lit where people were waiting for tables or just having a drink I think?

We just went with the flow and ordered some wine :rotfl:

The meal itself was lovely, with terrific entrees and a dessert sampler I remember loving. Also did wine flights here that introduced me to a new favourite wine (Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc - mmmmmm!)

It's not intimate, nor would I say it is easily romantic (although to some extent you bring your own romance to a meal), but the food was great, I remember the service was good and we had fun. That said, it didn't make the cut for our trip this year, but I suggest you try it.

Remember that if you asked 100 people there would always be one or two who don't like chocolate even though everyone else loves it. Everything gets mixed reviews!

Go, try it and make up your own mind, then report back here on what you thought! :wizard:

We went in December and really enjoyed it. It was a last minute reservation for us - we changed our mind about the place we had reserved that night and looked for something easier to get to. We were seated immediately, and our server was wonderful. We all enjoyed our meals and if we end up needing a change of plans again next trip, we would see if they had availability (we're only doing 2 duplicates, though we considered this one).

We went for lunch and enjoyed it. We especially loved the desserts! And DBF loved the beer flight they offer. If you're big on wine, I'd definitely recommend it since they're known for having all screw-top wines (no corks). Even if you're not a wine drinker (which we aren't) there's plenty to enjoy at The Wave and it is worth checking out at least once.

lol, there was major mixed reviews at our table for 2!

i had the chicken dinner and thought it was the worst meal i ever had before.... he had a steak and thought the wave was in his top favorites.

we left there and i went to casey's for corn dog nuggets, lol. he keeps asking to go back... and i told him he'd have to dine solo.

And we have eaten there multiple dinners since they opened...have always had a good meal.

We just ate there again last week for dinner...all four of us chose the Grilled Beef Tenderloin...we ordered a medium, a well-done, and 2 rares. All were cooked perfectly (and very, very tender) It appears to be a small serving, but it's nearly 2 inches thick so is plenty of beef, even for steak lovers. Two of the 4 dinner orders had special requests (no cheese/no dairy...one due to an allergy, and one due to taste preference.) and all meals were delivered correctly. We had a house salad, and split a crab cakes & scallops appetizer...all very good (and again, request to leave off cheese was not an issue.)

For desserts, I had the "American Flavors" trio...was outstanding. DIL (dairy allergy) had fresh fruit (they also had tofutti or Rice Dream available). Son and hubby both asked for a chocolate shake for dessert (they could have had that as their dining plan beverage but chose tea & soda instead.)
