Have you been to the JW Marriott recently, if so, what can their destination fee be used on?

Sorry, if this has already been asked, I did try and search and can't find exact info on it. I'm wondering if anyone has been recently and can comment on what the $25 food and beverage credit can be used on / where it can be used? Can you use them all at once, say towards one meal, or does it have to be used daily? Can it be used on their rooftop patio? TIA

ETA- just looking at their website, I see they have a cafe, Market Place, can the credit be used there?

Just returned from a stay a week ago. They give you a briefing / sheet on what it can be used for, but I believe it was any of their restaurants / places to eat aside from the little sundry shop and valet parking. We ended up using it for breakfast every day - Starbucks + breakfast sandwiches / pastries. Just charge to the room.

Had to use each day and couldn’t let it stack up or you’d lose it.

Enjoy your stay! It was our first time there and it was fabulous. Easy walk through the GardenWalk to the parks if you exit through the patio on the 2nd floor.

Thanks for this! So that Market Place, that looks like a Starbucks kind of cafe, is where you were able to use it? That would be amazing if so! There isn't an actual Starbucks in this hotel is there?

What room did you stay in? I'm trying to decide if we should upgrade and get the theme park or fireworks view room. :scratchin Oh and silly question, but does part of the window open? It look like it does and it says on hotels.com the room has window screens, so I would assume that means it does.

my 2 cents if you are looking for offsite "luxury" I would look at the Westin. NO destination fee :) Are the rates on Hotels.com that much better? I always book through Marriott.com so I was not sure?

No problem! Yes, we were able to use it there. They weren’t an official Starbucks per say, but they served out of Starbucks cups and had Starbucks things like the Strawberry Açaí Lemonade. Pastries and sandwiches were generic and not Starbucks branded, but good. (Saw signs for a Starbucks opening in GardenWalk, but didn’t see a date.)

I believe our room was 903 or 905 (definitely an odd number) and it was a theme park view of California Adventure. If we looked to the right we could see Disneyland / as far as Space Mountain, but really had to “press the face to the glass” to see the Matterhorn.

We enjoyed the view and the sunsets were spectacular, but with fireworks having been canceled two of the three nights we were there due to wind, it was hit or miss. I didn’t notice the ability to open any windows.

bardays- I do find hotels.ca often has a better deal in Canadian already quoted, and you have the option to either pay right then, or pay at the hotel on arrival. Plus you get a free hotel stay every 10 nights or something, I forget the exact number. We're not brand loyal when it comes to Anaheim hotels, we often stay at the HoJo, or whatever is cheapest and an actual hotel style. I'd love to try the Westin, but it was twice the price of the JW. So maybe next time.

PrincessMcG - thanks so much for all the info! I really appreciate it. I assumed that's what you meant, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something! :rotfl:
