Guess what???? I have been in contact with Disney special events planners. We would like to plan a surprise something for my mom's 60 birthday which will be in April 2006. I will let you know what we come up with. So excited!!!

I am in desperate need of motivation to get my bottom in gear and start to pack.

The hubby set aside a week's check so that we can go shopping on Friday for the trip. Normally, that would make me feel better, but I am not having much fun shopping for maternity clothes.

Maybe if you tell me more about the concierge lounge and the great food, my pregnant body will get excited! Yes, you'll get a sep confirmation for each group of reservations, but when you call back every morning, try to MODIFY the AKL CL (with the discounts) to add the other dates.

To answer your question, yes, you'll have two reservations until you get all you can get. Hopefully, you'll be back to one reservation.

I talked to mmausse for a while yesterday and she is doing OK. Her kitty was a special part of her life. She is a wonderful person and she ended up making me laugh and feel better!!!

Chocolate croissants and other goodies are out for all.

Kerry...like I've said before...we've got an awesome group here!

Just an FYI,

When we evacuated to WDW for Hurricane Jeanne, there was a code rate available for the Cont. 14th floor. I was offered 3 nights for $1,200. I was surprised anything was open, especially with a code.

They may not discounty the suites, but a CL room on the 14th floor at a discount would be great.

I did it! AKL Conc here we come again!

11/6 Nothing available at AKL except suites so kept Poly Ressie for one night at AP rate.
11/7 & 8th got AKL C at Passholder rate
11/9 & 10 AKL C at rack and hopefully can catch a discount before hand.

I called the travel company to do all this and for the AKL portion there is a single confirmation number. She said that many get separate reservations but it is possible to do just one at different rates if the computer cooperates. Hopefully she is correct and nothing is messed up. Was a teriffic CM--Joy.

Immediately called Don at IPO and got on the 11/9 Safari. DD and I were the last two for confirmed ressies before the waitlist starts. Thank goodness I didn't hesitate anymore!

We had BWI CL booked for Christmas but switched over to AKL CL. The Itinerary Planning staff for BWI is amazing.

This is my third, too, so I'm already stocking up on clothes.

Welcome to the lounge, whosgotthecandy! I really don't see any problem with having visitors. Why not, it looks like you are going to FAB-U-LOUS view.

Hightown - Looks like you're going back!!!

Sunrise Safari are on Saturday and Tuesday mornings only, right? Are there any other mornings they offer sunrise?

It doesn't look like I'll be there the full 3rd week of July. I had to make a deal with DH so I can only go for a few extra days . I am hoping to be there until at least Tuesday of the 3rd week. Hopefully, I'll be in the arena for the summer meet!

VAgal, It's SOOO good to be going back too! Hopefully, can snag the other two days at discount! Extra $200 savings would be great.

The only Sunrise Safari days are Saturdays and Tuesdays. From what Don at AKL IPO just said, 54 is the max and they do a waitlist after that. He also said if there are any guests in wheelchairs, the number allowed is less.

There is a Sunset Safari for adults but I don't know what days those go on. Much more limited--like 8 but not sure.

Will be good to be a LL again. I may try to keep it a secret from DD.

We did Sunset in June with BT so we would like to try Sunrise this go around.

Sunset safari is a safari at the Lodge with a sundowner followed by dinner at Jiko's. It's a very nice experience. They usually only allow guests 16 and older attend. You are right - it's only limited to 8 guests.

Thanks! We are all happy and healthy. Mom and new baby are home and everyone is trying to readjust to having a newborn in the house again.

1st) She was the only girl in the nursery. The nurses had a ball with her. They made a hat with a makeshift bow. Cute!

2nd) Baby Hailey with her big sister Julia!

3rd) Going home in her special outfit!

4th) Close up of the going home outfit and bonnet. My wife came home from the hospital wearing the very same one!

5th) All bundled up and ready to go!

mmause, sorry for your loss. I just this past saturday had to put my faithfull companion Marco down after almost 13 years. He was a great dog and I will miss him very much.
