#1HockeyMom great news for you! That is great. Itried to get a 2 bedroom suite at the BW for our trip,no Ap rate and they do not offer Cast rates, which I have our deluxe booked at. when I called they told me I shouldn't have even gotten those discounted!!! I will be bringing my confirmation slip with me , rest assured.
I am going to see if I can try to tuck away some money between now and my trip as I would love to surprise my son and his wife with the suite. I am happy with the regular room.

BT Your pictures made me wish I were there now. Seeing Jackie and Robin brought it all back. It is too bad you never met Stephanie. She was my planner for 2 years and then moved back over to the BW. She is now working in the offices somewhere. She is so sweet and very helpful.
I am going to see about the dessert party at Epcot. I think carri's parents would be blown away by it. We will only have 6 adults and little Madyson, so can't do the Magical Gathering thing.

P&PD to all of my firends here. You are all the best!:Pinkbounc

Dreamflight---I LOVE reading your posts! Your birthday sounds like it was absolutely wonderful. Glad to hear that you and your family had a magical time last night and again today. Your reports and pictures you post always bring a smile to my face. :D Enjoy the rest of your evening all.

Kerry...I booked a BWI CONCIERGE DELUXE today for August with a discount! ACK!:earseek: What's up with that? I took it immediately and gave them my deposit!
I'm hoping to upgrade to a 2 bedroom, if available, when we get there. If not....we'll STILL enjoy our wonderufl room at the BWI CL!:teeth:
Yes, Jackie and Robin are so sweet! And I look forward to talking to Stephanie. She sounds so nice!::yes::

dreamflight....I LOVE IT! You celebrate your birthday ALL WEEK ALSO! LOL! You ARE too much and I adore every bit of it!:goodvibes
Everyday is a celebration.....right, my dear?;) :cheer2: :thewave:

LOLOL My baby! He even learned how to fly! See what an angel he is? :) I'll have to redo my signature and add him on in! Thank you for all of the good wishes over my room change! I am SOOO happy! I just know that DD will love the place once she steps foot in the lobby! I showed her all of the posts and pictures yesterday and when I called her today to tell her the news she seemed relieved and excited!

DF>> I knew you'd be getting something special for your birthday celebration! WOW, what a night! You'll have to slip those pool chairs into your luggage for some grotto pool time! :) LOL

P and PD to those that need it. I believe prayer works, so I'll keep on praying!

Back from hockey practice *can't stop just because it is summer!, it would make that camp worthless! LOL* Now off to watch movies with my family. Have a great night everyone! Left out jamocha shakes for everyone! *add some bailey's and kahlua for an even better shake!*

Debbie

Congrats on making your change!! I'm so happy for you and your family - very happy that you'll be returning "home"!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

good evening, all. can anyone share a "personal and up-close" review of the 14th fl consierge at cr with me? (staff, lounge offerings, room decor, etc.) all i can find is the standard description from deb's sight, disney sight, etc. anyone been there recently?

Dreamflight - Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday celebration! :teeth:

Debbie - Check out that new clippie....BT, it is so darling!

Francie - Sorry, can't help on the 14th floor...I heard it's nice!

lovesdumbo--glad you liked the pix. I thought I took a lot until I saw BT's! I did use a lot on the Family Magic Tour though.

On a side note, this was the highlight of our trip. My son absolutely loved it and it was so cute seeing them doing all the silly things throughout the park. We also met Peter Pan and Wendy and they spent so much time with us and then took us to Mickey's Philarmagic--front row of course!

We ran into our tour guide, Shannon at Columbia Harbour House after and she left her lunch to sit and listen to my DS' ideas for his own theme park. She spent at least 1/2 hour with him. She told us to stop by City Hall on our way out. She had left a sweet note asking him to send her the promised tix to his theme park and gave him special paper for them, extra peter pan stickers, extra "mickey dust" for his hair (he had the special haircut in MK day before and was sad to wash out his Mickey dust!). She also left 2 family priority passes for Mk rides (automatic fastpass!) He was so thrilled. When we went to use passes, he got sad because he thought they were passes to see her! Well, we emailed her upon our return and he heard back yesterday. She said she was so lucky to have the best job in the world and was so happy he helped save the Magic Kingdom. She also said she was delighted to keep in touch and wants to see him when we come in Dec--told hubby we have to go now! Anyway, just wanted everyone to know what a phenomenal tour this is and how we met our new Disney Friend! Here is a link to our pix from this tour
www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=7nu12oax.99b54hf5&x=0&y=-v4io41

Back to lovesdumbo. They had the crib set up but we had requested bedrails so I cannot tell you about it, sorry. Unfortunately, his crib days are over, even if he still counts as infant on reservations for 6 more months! I also vote for kona cafe. A couple of pages back, on my poly link there should be pix of the famous Kiddie Kone (so cute, and delicious too!) along with the other desserts. I had the macadamia brownie which was delicious and hubby had chocolate lava cake which we thought was just a bit better than chocolate wave cake at Coral Reef. Oh, and the food was good too. The homemade sweet potato chips are to die for!

Well, gotta leave for the airport in 6 hours so I better pack. I'll have to check in from Reno or else it will take me hours to catch up! Happy planning everyone!

Lisa

lindeyspol your pictures of the family magic tour were wonderful. I liked the narration. Could I ask you a few questions?

How old are your children? I have a DS6 (almost) and a DD4
Did the tour keep thier attention?

Were others with you? How many people per tour?

I'm sorry about all of the questions, but this is the first time I saw this tour and it looked so neat! After seeing your pics I'm thinking of surprising husband and children with this. Was it worth it?

Thank you
Jonna

inthemood--always happy to help. This tour was worth every penny! We also got a discount for ap's and I think my 2 1/2 yo was free. My 5 1/2 yo loved it. He wasn't able to help read the clues but they found other ways for him to help. I believe the max # including adults is 20. We had 16 (1 family was no show). There were about 6 kids. We also got those really cute name tags too. They stop about 1/2 way through for potty/drink breaks. We were there at 10 but got a little late start and had some extra time--I think we were finished by 12:30. I surprised my family too--it definitely added to the fun. Yes, it really kept his attention. They find the clues and do lots of silly things along the way and really see the park from a different perspective--stopping to see things you may not have noticed. Of course, you attract lots of attention doing the silly things and lots more with the characters with you. They have a 2nd guide who helps keep the onlookers away from your character time. They really spend a lot of personal time with the kids at the end and spoke to each child. They took time for Patrick who was in the stroller most of the time--I thought that was really nice. David's so happy he got his "lost boy" name and still says "hook's a codfish" instead of "cheese" for pictures--per Peter's request. When you go, try for Shannon (our special Disney friend) and please tell her "hello" from David and Patrick!

francie...wish I could help you more! dreamflight has stayed on the 14th and there's a couple of other posters on this board.....do a SEARCH for contemporary or concierge and you'll get these other poster names to PM.
I think the thread was by johnsonet...."which concierge is the best?"

If anyone lurking has something to add for francie, please post or PM her. Thanks!:wave2:

lindeyspol...love your pictures!!! Thank you for posting them on our thread!:sunny:

I see Debbie has her new little baby in her sig!:teeth:

Thank you thank you! It wasn't until later last night that I realized Baby Ankole's wings were the best wings of all, REDWINGS! :) I was so excited to see him I didn't notice the significance!

Lindeyspol>> Your pictures are so good! I wish my children were younger as that tour looks (and sounds) great!

I hope someone here was able to grab up my Poly GVC reservations! I am pretty sure I had them at a sold out time so I hope I made someone very happy! To those still trying to get the room/location of their choice, keep calling, calling, calling! I couldn't believe I was able to grab up AKL concierge at such a late date on the first try! I think I had the CM on the phone in hysterics over my excitement. "Really? You really have it? I can't believe this! WOW! Thank you!" It was so easy this time around I think it really was meant to be!

Have a wonderful day, lounge lizards!
Debbie

Good Morning!~Thanks again, for all the wonderful wishes (They are still providing the wind beneath my wings!!)

luckywife~Thanks!! Have I told you how very much I LOVE your moniker? "LUCKYWIFE" is simply...PRECIOUS! ::yes:: I hope your DH knows he is the "LUCKYHUBBY"...:teeth: (Which he most assuredly IS!!). XO

*My PAUL FRANK "Julious" Dr. Scholl's *(in RED)...arrived yesterday!! And....the BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION MARCHES ON....(LOL). Today, DD is taking me out for a "TRIPLE~TREAT!!" We are seeing THREE MOVIES...all perfectly timed by DD. First, Harry Potter...next, Dodgeball, then finally (My FAV) SHREK 2!! 5+ hours of movies...and nachos, slurpees, and ogre~sized M & M's (Mmmm).

VAgal76~Yes, it was a memorable BD, indeed. Wish I could have shared it with you too!! We would all have a BLAST. Maybe, we'll plan an "UN-BIRTHDAY" party in the WORLD sometime!! The FUN would never~end.... :teeth:

BambiTamby~YOU KNOW IT!!! :sunny: :jumping1:  :flower: :cloud9: :flower3: Every day of LIFE....is cause for CELEBRATION! XO Of course...I also graciously accept any the other treats offered to commemorate my entrance into the Universe!! My heart even fluttered a bit, when I caught sight of the little signature teal bag w/white satin ribbon sitting on the table in the suite (*upon our return). :goodvibes And HEAVEN KNOWS...I LOVE CAKE!! :teeth:

#1hockeymom~:p I'll need a special tool to squeeze those chairs in my bag, but for you...I'll move the mountains!! ;) I hope you approve of the pose I struck while relaxing in the chair...In my "infinity pool" with the pacific in the background. Of course...those frames are just some old California standards (Ray Bans)...to reflect the true mark of the West Coast Summer. Do I look casual and laid-back (and Another year YOUNGER)? :teeth: Me thinks so!!

The BABY ANKOLE is SOooo Cute!! Ms. Tamby is an astoundingly talented WIZARDRESS...:wizard: (*And to think I've been impressed with LOU & Dan for years...).
I made a fresh MUDSLIDE for you...complete with chocolate/whip cap!!

francie~Please feel free to PM me with any questions about the 14th floor CR. We were there last SUMMER for a week, it was HEAVENLY!!

Okay Kidz...off to live the life of RILEY!!! (LOL) :hyper:

TTFN...DF99 :wave2:

DF-Happy, Happy Birthday. Love your chair and my DS (who loves blondes) thinks you're beautiful! :teeth: He also liked your drinking smiley. "He's drinking juice Mommy"

Lisa-loved your tour photos. I think I'll put that on next year's list-maybe the then almost 3 year old will enjoy it more.

Thanks BT & Lisa for the Kona vote. I think I'll stick to that-nice and relaxing for the first night and those desserts sure do look good. I'm sure DH will love it and it will set the stage for his falling in love with the Poly.....I think he had a good time in Jan but now that he's been there he'll be more relaxed and feel like he's coming home.

I had the strangest dream last night. I was already at the Poly (living there or something) and my family showed up for our vacation in a beat up taxi and the driver didn't want to wait for the car seat to be installed so baby was on DH's lap. I guess I better make those limo reservations so I can get that off my mind!

Woody-still sending P & PD for your DS. When is his next test? We just had our son's hearing tested due to a speach problem. His hearing was fine. We asked the school to do an evaluation but they won't do it til September. I was at a cookout with a speach therapist and she said his tounge is a bit forward (out of habit from pacifier and sippy cups she assumes). She told us to get rid of the sippy cup (the pacifier has been gone) so I bought him some sport cups with a straw. I know whats it like to worry about neglecting your kids when siblings arrive. My DS got angry with us last week for not letting him pick out his sox as we rushed out the door. As a result he didn't speak a word to anyone for 6 hours. Talk about a scream for attention. We were going to an art fest and we had sihouettes made of all 3 kids. His came out the best as he was sitting so still. His older sister has been getting lots of special attention lately-last day of preschool, visit to kindergarten, dance recital and then when I am actually at home his baby sister needs attention. So last week on my day off I took him out to breakfast-just the 2 of us. He's a such a sweet boy-I asked if he wanted it to be just the 2 of us or if we should take his big sister along. He said take her but she was still asleep-her loss.

Well, off to go research limos....

BambiTamby- I looked at your BWI concierge pictures and I loved them!! Thanks for sharing them. I am so excited about my stay at the BWI! I just can't wait!

I'll have to look at the concierge level pictures from the other resorts you have stayed in. :sunny:

Thanks again!:D

My older DS failed his pre K hearing evaluation 3 times. Once in May, again in August and the middle of September. Finally the therapist asked if we had a family history of hay fever/pollen allergies. I told her we did indeed, She then said then he probably is fluidy bring him back in November. And sure enough he passed with flying colors.

If your family is prone to allergies, This may be somthing you want to consider.:wave2:

dreamflight all I can say to you is.....!! You are one sweet, classy lady. ::yes::
Hope you enjoy your day with DD!

Prayers and PD to all in need.

Have a great day all.

Ok, this shows why I love Jackie and Stephanie at the BWI so much. I had a really bad day today, dealing with CRO and not feeling great. UPS delivers a box to me. I know I haven't ordered anything, not buying much with the kitchen remodel happening. I open it and get the biggest laugh of my life!!!:hyper: It is a bear from Build A Bear Workshop. Her name is Bubbles and she is dressed like Ariel, complete with red hair. I could not stop laughing. She is so cute. They are the best down there and it was just what I needed after a horrible day. Thanks Jackie and Stephanie. See you both soon.

I'm so happy for you, Kerry! you should've seen the look on Jackie's face as she was describing this bear to me.
Simply PRICELESS!!!!::yes::

Just when I thought I had this next trip planned, I show the BWI garden suite pics to my GF and she goes bonkers!:hyper:
Well....I changed our concierge deluxe room into a garden suite.:sunny:
I can NOT wait to see Jackie and the gang again!
:teeth:

 to all of ya'll!

BT I will take a picture of it to post if you will tell me how. I am technically challenged.! I called Jackie as soon as I opened it and told her it made my day getting Bubbles.
So, if anyone could help me I will take Bubble's picture to post.
Thanks
