Have you been "Bitten" by the Concierge "Bug"? aka The LIZARD LOUNGE!

Anna-I was thinking of asking CL to do that for my kids too. My DD(5) keeps telling me how much she misses Pooh and asks if he misses her too. I'm hoping she still believes Pooh is really Pooh when we go in Oct-I'm sure a photo from him would help. She's starting to ask questions-"Mom did an artist draw these pictures?", "Mom-that dragon(?) (what is Eddy Murphy's character is from Mulan) has the same voice as Donkey." I know she'll have a great time even when she figures it all out and the magic will always be there for us but I'm hoping to sqeeze in that last trip while she still believes.

Janet-Love your new photos! What a magical evening! You know if I were there I wouldn't be talking it up due to a sugar high. I'd be stuffing my mouth full of all those yummy looking desserts til I just couldn't move or utter a single word. :teeth:

Woody-you and your family are still in my prayers.

DD hasn't put it down! Cindy wrote "Remember... a Dream is a Wish your Heart makes!!!"... and Elizabeth is on Cloud 9!!!

DS came home from school and saw it on the kitchen table and called his grandparents!!!

lovesdumbo... I am sure that they have a pic of Pooh and he can do the same!! ::yes::

DF-I had asked about this book a few weeks ago (you must have been in the middle of party planning :teeth: ) and everyone seemed to think the idea was great but not the book.

Mine is an Elizabeth also! She likes the princesses too but its always Pooh she says she misses. He was very attentive at the CP when we celebrated my son's 3rd birthday. My baby LOVED Tigger-tried to eat him! And DS wouldn't go near the characters til after his party-unfortunately that was our last day. I can't wait to return there-early in the trip this time.

I have the Luxury Guide to WDW that DF showed the picture of above. I have sort of mixed feelings on it. To me, it wasn't *quite* as good as I had hoped. Now, do bear in mind that I haven't looked at it in over 8 months, so I might not have the clearest memory. As I recall, it did go into more detail than other guidebooks about deluxe resorts,CL, and even some detail on suites. It also discussed fireworks cruises and things like that. Other than those things I found it to be more like a regular guidebook. I liked it, I didn't love it, if that makes sense. I prefer the Unofficial Guide (it makes me LOL), Passporter, and WDW for Couples over that guide, but I love guides so I tend to buy them all. :teeth:

DF - Yes, the title alone means that should definitely be the lounge coffee table guide!;)

Okay, need some input. Have four nights booked at AKL CL but have been debating for the past couple weeks about upgrading to the one bedroom suite.

We'll be at the parks for two days but do plan to spend a couple afternoons enjoying the resort although I'm thinking if we're in the room, we'd be out on the balcony enjoying the savannah.

So what to do, what to do? Those that have done rooms and then suites, any thoughts?

If you want to wait....you can politely ask for an upgrade to a 1bedroom suite upon check-in. If you have an AP discount, they will give you the AP discount on the suite and then apply your rate to that...usually the difference is around $300, give and take.

I have been bitten sooo bad by the Suite bug!
today, I added the BWI GARDEN SUITE for 2 nights on the end of this June trip!:earseek:

I called this morning...not available.
Tried again an hour ago....BINGO!

Great place for DH and I to end our trip after the folks leave!
And....I'll get to experience the BWI CL in less than 2 weeks!

DH said..."NO MORE 'TWEEKING', honey!"

lovesdumbo....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: You are too fuuny!
Yep! I'd be there right with you...except imagine me stuffing my mouth AND trying to talk at the same time!!!!!:crazy2:

dreamflight....like Elizabeth said...it's got some concierge info, but it's basically another guide book.....that being said, buy it!
Us lizards can't have tooo many WDW guide books!:goodvibes

annamonte...how cute! I can close my eyes and just visualize the joy in their eyes!princess: ::MickeyMo

Woo Hoo! Way to go on getting the CR 14th floor and the BWI garden suite. I think you're really going to enjoy the garden suite, and I am hoping to give CR 14th floor a try for myself sometime before too long. I'm actually considering CR 14th floor for a December 2005 trip (I'd love to go ahead and book it, but I must budget for the deposit, LOL). Enjoy BT! :sunny:

Thanks ya'll!

Still having to pinch myself!

Everyone....please remember to pray for WoodysRU!
She needs every prayer she can get!

BT: Congrats on scoring 14th floor!!! FINALLY!! ::yes::

GOOD MORNING ALL!! Today is "Fun Day" at DS's school... oh, joy of joys! I hope I make it out alive! Wish me luck!

Continued prayers and PD going Woody's way!

WoodysRU - Just wanted you to know that you are still in our prayers.

BT - WOW girlfriend, you just keep adding in all those extras, CR-14 and BWI Garden. Don't know much about CR-14 but have seen pics of the Garden suites and they are dreamy, very romantic :cloud9: Way to go CL princess:

We found WDW for Couples book had more interesting ideas and details than the Luxury Guide. IMHO

Ok, I was motivated by my DVC points, but we selected the Poly Concierge over GF April 2005. We're going to save our points for the GF Concierge that hubbie and I can share while my DD does her chorus concert in March 2006 (she'll be staying at the All Stars Music).

We're at the Poly for 2 nights and then off to Beach Club Villas for 3.

Pre-Xmas 4-day cruise in Dec. 2004.

Can't wait!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:magnify: - Now we know what you've been doing lately - LOL!

You know there is now a 12 step program for suite bugs, too.

Repeat after me "My name is BambiTamby & I'm a suiteaholic."
Say it loud and say it proud, girlfriend!

Just a few more days.......::yes:: :tongue: :cool1:

Dotterson - I'm glad you decided on a resort! Planning is so much fun. ::yes::

ROTFL!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

running late as I grab a danish and  to everyone in the lounge and I'll be back tonight!

:moped:

dotterson...excellent choice!:teeth:

It IS so much fun to plan! I'm looking forward to some of the eating goodies at the Poly. We always spend so much on food.

I think 'saving' GF Concierge for our trip in 2006 will be awesome too (DD thought GF was stuffy anyway!) I might even convince DH to got to V&A's then!

Not I just have to wait!!!!!

Congrats BT on the CR 14th floor suite!

Woody...you are in my thoughts and prayers...hope all goes well on Monday.

Well, it is Friday afternoon, and I have had about as much of work as I can stand for a day! I am ready for a vacation!!!

I have some questions for all you Poly Lizards.... I am an early riser (yes even on vacation:rolleyes: ), I see that the lounge doesn't open until 7:00am. Should I get a coffee maker for the room? Do you still have access to sodas and water even if it is not officially open yet? Also, does the lounge area have a balcony that one can sit out on? (If I let my fellow roommates sleep in, I like to sit outside and watch the sun come up...etc...and if my room doesn't have a balcony (2nd floor), I am trying to figure out what I will want need to do.)

Thanks for all your help!

DS came home with an all "A" report card, DD graduates HS, with honors, in less than two hours. Life just doesn't get better than this! *big beaming smiles*

Happy Friday!
Debbie

So what are we doing to celebrate? We're going to DISNEY WORLD! (in July!)

Debbie - That's great!!:Pinkbounc I'll bet your DD is very excited, graduating, moving on to college!::yes:: And DS has done very well for himself - my two youngest have gotten a few report cards with all A's, it excited me but they were just "eh, no biggie!" Hope your DS gets more excited than that!

Guess what?! I added another day to our stay, we are going to be there a full week! I added it on the end, now I'm really hoping we enjoy WL! Now, it's 3 days BWI CL and 4 days WL CL, got the extra day with the AP rate, too!:teeth: DD will get to spend her whole birthday at WDW, instead of flying home on her b'day!:cake: :bday:

#1hockeymom That is wonderful news about your DS getting all A's on his report card. And your DD graduating highschool....how exciting. I hope this is a wonderful evening for all of you! :D

k&a&c'smom Your DD gets to spend her b-day at WDW? Now, who could ask for a better gift than that? Sounds like you have one great trip planned for the both of you this summer. Can't wait to hear how you like WL, we're thinking about staying there during our next trip.

woody you contine to be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you receive nothing but good news when you see the doctor on Monday.
