Have to tell someone or I'm going to burst!

Hello everybody,
I figured is safe to share this on this website where so many times people helped me with different decisions.
So, I had planned on taking my mom and my 3 brothers and sister with their families to celebrate Christmas this year. I pulled together the points from 2 years, got really nice reservations and even got 7 night in a concierge studio at Jambo house that I really wanted my mom to enjoy. So, I have a DD that just got married last June and she called me yesterday that she was going to go to FL with some friends from work for a celebration. She lives about 45 minutes away and asked me for a roll away suitcase. I told her that we were going to get home pretty late from a soccer game and at first she said never mind and then she said ok, I will see at 9 PM. I was thinking that it was kind of weird that she was willing to come to the house that late but then I forgot about it. Well, after looking for the suitcase and as I turn to give it to her, she is holding a baby shirt !!!
I was speechless for a minute and then you can imagine the rest....
she underwent surgery this year for some issues regarding getting pregnant, so we are all very happy to say the least. This is going to be our first grandchild and yes, she is do around Christmas!
so now, I'm going to try to change our reservations for Thanksgiving since here in this district , they get the whole week off.
I still can't tell any of my friends until July when her fist trimester ends, so here Im telling my happy story.

Congratulations. I do understand just how exciting this is. Grandkids are just the best, most wonderful to ever happen. Next you will be planning the Grandbaby's First Trip.

There are many reasons that DVC is great, and grandkids are perhaps #1 on the list. Congratulations!

Congrats on become a grandparent. I have 2 granddaughters with another on the way. They are the reason I just bought into DVC. We are making a trip next month which will be our 3rd in the last 18 months. I was finally able to justify DVC. You are going to love the grandchildren

She won't be able to go so we are thinking of going 2-3 days earlier and return before Christmas so we can be with her and be here close to the 2 weeks prior to her DD. I can only imagine how rewarding it can be to help take the grandchildren to DW, I'm also glad that we made the decision to buy.

Congratulations! I'd trade a lot more than than 1 vacation for grandchildren. I can only imagine how excited you are - and how often your thoughts stray to planning special trips with them. Best wishes to the entire family!

so it turns out that almost everything is gone for Thanksgiving as I expected, so we talked and she wanted me to not cancel since she is due the 7 of January. She won't be able to go so we are thinking of going 2-3 days earlier and return before Christmas so we can be with her and be here close to the 2 weeks prior to her DD. I can only imagine how rewarding it can be to help take the grandchildren to DW, I'm also glad that we made the decision to buy.

Rats! too bad they won't hold a reservation. we are probably going to cancel our weds- sun (departure ) week of thanksgiving 2 bedroom lockoff at bcv in the very near future! we will be going the summer of 2018 instead since our use year is sept. So you never know -worth a quick try your dates may come! pixie dust ether way!

Maybe you can tell Vinmar the time and day you are cancelling and they can check the inventory 5 minutes later. There is a lag time between when the waitlist
grabs it from inventory.

haven't cancelled yet but will soon. been trying to teach while fighting double ear infection lol. maybe we can figure out a way i can let you know date and time i will call and maybe you can try. hopefully it just doesn't go right to waitlist people! if anyone out there has any suggestions on how to increase chances you get maybe they can pipe in! ps what we have booked is 2 bedroom lock off at bcv for wed night check out sunday thanksgiving week.
