Have to rebook ADRs for next week. Strategies?

Hi -- We had a quick "school break" trip for this weekend and early next week planned since June. Unfortunately we had to postpone the trip for a few days as DD came down with a virus/fever. So, i cancelled all of our ADRs and am trying to book new ones for 10/25 and 10/26, with nothing available, at least for character-type dinners.

Is it a pipe dream to hope for cancellations? Should i keep trying? Wait until we get there on Tuesday?

I'm sure we're not the first one to have this situation. Any strategies would be greatly appreciated.

Bummer. . . I would keep trying. We went in the end of May and I booked our ADRs all the last couple of weeks. We also had an ADR at WCC for our first night and missed it due to a 5 hour delay at the airport. DH called up the next morning and got us an ADR for 5pm that night for 9 people so it is possible.

My husband always decides last moment to eat at a certain restaurant ( whether it be, Flying Fish, 'Ohana's, Chef Mickeys, etc.)...... I will call and call from home with no luck, but usually when I get there, the concierge desk will get me in with no problem.

Have you tried Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club or Donald's Breakfastasoarus at AK? Those are usually the more attainable of the character meals, especially Cape May.
