A tiny bit of back story - We are disney addicts (as is everyone here, I think...). When our first DD (now 4) was 9 months old, we went to WDW, and she got her first haircut at the Harmony barbershop. I loved that experience & memory for her!

We've only gone one other time since then, and we now have 1 year old twins. I started bugging DH about going to WDW since before they were born, and FINALLY made the decision in April to go. We really like going in September, because it's less crowded, and also less expensive. I researched the best week to go (touringplans.com), and asked friends we had traveled with before to go with us - they didn't want to go then. We asked other friends of ours - they had gone before in October, and only want to go then. We asked a third couple (with 1yo twins too), and they could come! YAY!

We made our plans, and got a 2br AK - Kindani villa with Savanna views with the free dining by calling early on the day the free dining came out!! :cool1: I booked our flights, made some dining reservations, & haircut reservations, etc., and we were going to get together this past Sunday to firm up some stuff. Then the friend called - he got roped into a project that will be wrapping up the week we were going to be gone, and he is no longer allowed to take vacation that week! :(

Now I have to start all over again, and some prices have gone up! (And forget about getting a similar room...) Sigh.

On somewhat of a side note - has anyone done the concierge level, and is it worth it? The reason I wanted the 2br was so we'd have a kitchen for breakfast, but it looks like that's offered with the concierge level, plus they have free beer/wine? That'd be a savings right there! (There are rooms available at the concierge level at the AKL with savana views.)

Maybe your October friends could now be persuaded to go in their place. Do they like going in October for the Not So Scary Halloween Party or something? If you're going in later September that might still be an option for them.

They wanted October (past Columbus Day weekend) because their oldest daughter is just starting kindergarten, and they didn't want her to miss school just after she started. Besides, they already booked their package & flights too...

I haven't done concierge level, but a one bedroom villa may be something to consider. It has a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms, and it sleep 5 people. We are a family of 5 and this is our favorite resort.

That might be a good idea - I should have put that the 2br was so each family would have a bedroom, then share the communal space. But if we could each get a 1br, that'd be nice!

Unless you *need* the space of a suite for just your family, I would think you could almost go to CRT every day for breakfast and spend less than the difference between a "normal" room and a full priced suite.

We are renting points for our trip and found it to be a very affordable option. You wouldn't be eligible for free dining but you could still get the dining plan if you found it to be cost effective.

I agree with Rigs, the extra cost of a suite would mean if you were in a regular room you could easily afford breakfast out of the room everyday. You can all still fit because the two little ones are under 3 (enjoy being counted as only 3 people on the reservation while you still can! ;) )

This may not work for you given the difference in resort levels but did you consider one of the suites at AoA or ASM? With 2 babies a regular room might be tight.
