A tiny bit of back story - We are disney addicts (as is everyone here, I think...). When our first DD (now 4) was 9 months old, we went to WDW, and she got her first haircut at the Harmony barbershop. I loved that experience & memory for her!
We've only gone one other time since then, and we now have 1 year old twins. I started bugging DH about going to WDW since before they were born, and FINALLY made the decision in April to go. We really like going in September, because it's less crowded, and also less expensive. I researched the best week to go (touringplans.com), and asked friends we had traveled with before to go with us - they didn't want to go then. We asked other friends of ours - they had gone before in October, and only want to go then. We asked a third couple (with 1yo twins too), and they could come! YAY!
We made our plans, and got a 2br AK - Kindani villa with Savanna views with the free dining by calling early on the day the free dining came out!!
I booked our flights, made some dining reservations, & haircut reservations, etc., and we were going to get together this past Sunday to firm up some stuff. Then the friend called - he got roped into a project that will be wrapping up the week we were going to be gone, and he is no longer allowed to take vacation that week!
Now I have to start all over again, and some prices have gone up! (And forget about getting a similar room...) Sigh.
On somewhat of a side note - has anyone done the concierge level, and is it worth it? The reason I wanted the 2br was so we'd have a kitchen for breakfast, but it looks like that's offered with the concierge level, plus they have free beer/wine? That'd be a savings right there! (There are rooms available at the concierge level at the AKL with savana views.)
