Have to be DVC member to be on waiting list?

I have heard good things about Linda Scolaro at the DVC office. Would it be a good idea to callher to get on a waiting list for BCV even if I don't plan on being a DVC member till later in the year when we finacially can do it. Can Linda refer me or help me with a resale transaction?

I have Linda as my guide, and have no complaints. She has always returned my calls promptly. As far as BCV, I'm sure she could put you on the waitlist. I don't think any DVC guide will help you purchase a resale as there is no benefit to them.

I may be mistaken but I think you can call DVC sales and tell them that you are not interested in SSR but you want to buy DCV. I think they will put you on a waiting list for ROFR points (as long as you commit to at least 150 pts). I'm sure someone said they did this recently. 150 is too much for us so we bought 50 VWL resale and then added on another 30 at BWV. You might be better off just gong resale however.
