Have they stopped with the Magicband upgrades?

All evening they have been only showing the solid colored Magicbands. Throughout the day I watched the options dwindle down to one premium band along with the solid colors till all upgraded bands were gone. I was able to buy my third choice band a while ago. Maybe it was too hard to keep them in stock.

no they have not stopped. it is just a poorly designed process, so they are hard to get. ideally they should not allow guests to buy the band unless their vacation is within 60 days, but anybody can get them regardless of when it is and people are circumventing the system to get them as well so that also affects availability

There was a notice on the MB order screen yesterday saying there was an issue and that only free bands are currently available.

Probably a stocking issue. I remember it happening maybe a couple months ago (?). I would suspect they will be back in stock soon.

It is crazy to me that they do not have more of this because it must be 90% new profit for them. We did not purchase any magic bands until this upgrade program, and wouldn’t ever purchase them in store at the $30 or whatever price tag (do the math with 3 kids, no thanks). But at $10 or $15 we jump in. That’s all new profit they are getting from us.

We are the same way. Each of us had one that was cool and special and since they started doing the upgrades, all of us have gotten another 4 (we have a lot of trips)

Agree! The stores are filled with premium magic bands so it’s hard to understand why they can’t keep these stocked... especially when it means loss of profit.

They probably run out of stock at the fulfillment center that mails them out. We are heading into the holidays and I’m sure they are processing a lot of requests. It happened during the summer as well.
