We are planning a short trip to WDW arriving on Jan. 21st and departing on the 26th but now we are thinking of adding an extra day so we can go to IOA one day. We went to both Universal parks in Jan. of 09 and both parks were DEAD. However now with the new Harry Potter section..we are wondering if EVEN in Jan. will it be crowded? Thanks!!!

DH and I just got back. We went on the ride first thing in the morning on Nov 2nd and it only took us a half hour to get thru the line and on the ride. We even stopped to see the two versions of the show with Ron doing the lightning and snow.

We also used the tip to go thru flitch's to get to the lockers. :thumbsup2

We were there yesterday and we got there right when it opened but went to the Hulk and Spiderman first because we are not Harry Potter fans. Well EVERYONE except us went the opposite direction and we literally walked on Hulk, Spiderman and Dr Doom a few times, it was awesome! Anyways about an hour or so later we went to Harry Potter and it was a mob scene, crazy busy!:scared1: We went on dueling dragons cause it said 5 minute wait, well it ended up being about 30. After that we went thru the rest of the park and headed back to HP around 2, still crowded but a little better. FJ still had a 75 minute wait but we all got in single rider and only waited 5 minutes and we all got on at the same time! That is the only way to go in my opinion. My daughters liked it alot so we got in the single line again. Once again only 5 minutes but I probably shouldn't have done it 2x in a row like that because I almost lost my lunch the 2nd time! I know we missed the whole castle tour but we are not fans so it didn't matter to us. All in all a really cool place but I don't think we will be back intil all the craziness calms down.

We were there the day before yestarday. (11-4) We did the exact same thing! The girls lovesd the Hulk ride and walked on it 3 times in a row! They were super excited! We then made our way around the park riding everything. Our longest wait was for HP and it was 28 minutes from the time they went through the entry til they came out of the gift shop! They aren't HP fans so once was enough, so it was on to bigger and better things...the dueling dragons! They liked those so they rode them a few times. Then lunch and back to the water rides. They walked on pretty much everything all day, except the HP wait-which was not really a wait in my book!

That's funny we were in Universal Studios on the 4th and there was hardly anyone there! I think the forecast for rain had something to do with it but I thought it turned out to be a pretty decent day!

we were there halloween weekend. had early entry, and by 930, the line was across the bridge into the jurassic park area. fyi, we rode twice before 840. so we got that going for us...

We were there yesterday (11/6 Sat.) Park was pretty full but our day was much like dgr1973. We hit Marvel Island first and got on most rides less than 5 min wait the first hour. Longest wait for us the day was 30 mins for Pterodon flyers. HP land was packed with lotsa people and people waiting in line for stores etc. I did single rider at FJ and took me 10 mins (posted time was 75) but a few people said it took them like only 45 mins.
btw dgr1973 we were also at US on the 4th glad we only had some drizzle throughout the day we left around 6pm when things really started to come down...but the park wasn't very crowded we got on all rides fairly easily (longest wait was Disaster 1/2 hr.)
