Have room booked for AKL 2/13 - tried to apply a code and told it does not apply

I tried calling CRO and rebook myAKL room from 2/13-20. I mentioned the codes out, BCR, ZXAD (silver add on plan), etc. They told me that since the codes began on 2/17 I could not use it. Couldn't they have booked the 13th-16th at regular rate and 17th-20th at discount code rate.

Has anyone encountered this problem and what was done. I am confused. I wanted to get a code discount to apply the silver plan instead of just room only.

If not, is there any other code that applies to 2/13-2/20 that I don't know about.

Help. Its getting close.

You can book two separate dates in order to use a code. That is not a problem. Just call back and get someone else on the line. Don't cancel your first reservation, until you get confirmation numbers for all the dates you need in your new reservations...just in case.

I second what WebRay said. Call back and split your stay into 2 reservations if need be. It's amazing how sometimes you can talk to someone at CRO and get one answer and then hang up, call back get someone else who has a totally different answer.

Call back and tell them you want a reservation with two different rates. The 13th - 16th will be one rate the rest will be a continuing reservation at the discounted rate. I did exactly this with a stay at POFQ for 2/15-2/21. Good luck!
