Have never flown SW, have a few qs??

So I took advantage of the cc w/the 2 free flights. Still won't believe till I see it....anyway we are a family of 5. 3 kids 12, 5 and 2. How will it work for us to board the plane? Do I need to check in early or will we be able to board w/out one?

Technically, you could use family boarding with your 2 year old. However, family boarding is between groups A and B and the gate attendants may only let one parent board with your 2 year old.

Your best bet is to check in exactly at 24 hours before your flight and hope for a low boarding number and then board with your entire family. If you get B boarding passes, board with families, save seats for your other family members.

You could also purchase Early Bird Check In and have SWA check you in at 36 hours before your flight.

Go to the SWA website and read thier "Boarding School." I think it will answer most of your questions.

If everyone in the family is under 1 reservation, you can check everyone in at 1 time and will most likely get boarding numbers in order. Check in right at 24 hours beforehand online and more than likely, you can get an "A" boarding pass.

I have never flown Air Namibia (SW) either.

(Southwest's code is actually WN...sorry...airline nerd here...)

They won't be under one reservation, since they are using SW awards.
You check in just like you would normally check in..on line and print out your boarding pass, or check in from home and print out your boarding pass at the airport.

You can make your reservation on line too..if that's what you mean when you said "Do I need to check in early or will we be able to board w/out one". You do need to make your reservation. You will make it on your rewards page on SW. They'll email you something, once you get it, telling you how to make your reservations. Or you may want to call to make your reservations, to make sure everyone gets on the same flight, since you will be paying for some.
