We are going to see it on Sunday. Can't wait. We still haven't seen the latest Harry Potter either or Nanny McFee-too much to do, too little time.

Hoping to go and see it over the weekend.... will make an extra effort now that you've recommended it, thanks :teeth:

I saw it with my family last night and it was just... wow! The kids were really good actors, and it's so loyal to the book as well, almost word for word at times - particularly where Lucy first stumbles through the wardrobe into Narnia! I think that anyone who loves the book will love the film too. :sunny:

That sounds perfect - can't wait for the DVD!!! :teeth:

We are going tonight - they were my favourite books as a child so I am expecting great things. Will be great to see the Narnia theming in Disney studios in 2 weeks - apparently it's just gone up.

You realise we're expecting loads of fantastic pictures, don't you?????

Ooh, that sounds excellent, Steve! Do you know what sort of thing they have put up? If it's replacing that horrible huge Chicken Little thing in front of Studio 1, it will be even better!!

I believe it is replacing Chicken Little.

As for photos - I plan to take lots, and I have a few days with nothing to do over the Christmas break so I will get them all online not too long after we come back.

ITA Emma - that thing looks SO awful!!! I can't decide whether or not to get a two park pass for our day trip, but if that thing is still up I certainly won't be. I'm not letting my friend who is visiting a Disney park for the first time, see something so unbelievably tacky!!

I really hate the thing - can't you tell?!! ;)

wow - just amazing! Star Wars films aside (unfair to compare anything to Star wars as they are the 'films of my lifetime) I can't remember seeing a film so good, and that includes Pirates of the Caribbean, and for me to say that you know it must have been good. We came out the cinema and just 3 minutes from it ending I turned to Denise and said 'I want to it again!'. I was captivated from the very start to the very end. It was epic, enchanting, funny, sad, happy and absolutely magical. The casting was spot on and the effects were so incredibly real - in a fantasy kind of way!

As strange as it may sound I felt proud that Disney made it. There was also a trailer for the 2nd Pirates of the Caribbean film - Dead Man's Chest - looks brilliant.

Do you think Narnia will hold the attention of a just-turned-5 yr old?? They too were my favourite books as a child, and I'm desperate to see it, but I'm not sure about Joe whether he will sit through it. Bit unfair to go without him!! How long is the film? Is it an epic 3 hour job?

There were some young children next to us who were enthralled the whole way through. I think the fact that's it the journey of a children means children can themselves identify with the characters and Lucy herself is fairly young - plus the whole Narnia world, I would think, would be a fascinating experience for children. It's 2 hrs and 5 minutes and the time flies by - I'd say it's a film that anyone of any age could enjoy - it connects with people on so many levels, it's an all time great IMO.

saw it last night it was amazing!
there some small children there and they were not restlerss at all they were glued to it, very few pepole getting up to go to the loo!

as for the studios I hope they get rid of that awful chicken little picture . it spoiled my photos last weekend!
it said on the disney map that the white which will be there for meet and greet from 9th dec, i was gutted that we left on the 4th!

If there is a trailer showing for Dead Mans Chest then I will have to go and see it......I would go just to see that alone! I think I will pencil that in for the week after we get back from DLRP....something to look forward to! Did I mention that I am going THIS WEEK!!!! In 4 days time to be precise! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
