Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question or not, so mods if not please move it to the proper thread. :)

OK. Has anyone purchased anything from Own the Magic? I purchased two items 10 days ago and haven't received them yet. I have now sent 3 emails requesting shipping information and have not received a reply yet. I am starting to wonder if I got scammed and contemplating contacting paypal.

Sorry no personal knowledge, but read this and maybe you'll feel a little better :goodvibes

(hope I'm allowed to link to this other WDW site! If not, I'm sorry Mods, just trying to help a fellow DISer out :)).

Sounds like being s-l-o-w is the way they work, huh? But all good in the end. Good luck and hope your items finally show up!

It looks like they may go to the Parks occasionally and buy things for people.

Um, not that it is any of my business (which it isn't) but may not be good to post the guys address and phone number to the web. I realize it is just a whois search of his domain but... :confused3 just saying.... :)

I agree with PP I wouldn't post his personal info
It's not his personal info, it's his business info and it's available to anyone who can do a google search. I don't see anything wrong with CF posting the info.

I wouldn't panic just yet. 10 days ago was 5-5-13. That was a Sunday. So, it's been 8 business days, including today (don't count weekends). Did you pay for rush delivery? if not, not every business ships out right away. Were you given an estimate as to how long it would take to ship and be delivered?

You have 45 days to file a paypal dispute. So, I'd say give it another week or so before you panic.

I did not post any personal information.

The domain-issuing locations are required, by Federal law, to provide public "whois" information about the registration of a web site and certain related technical information to anyone who asks.

If you knew my web site URL you could do a Whois search on it and get my name, address, phone and fax number, email, and other public information.

I ordered a large piece of art almost 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing. I have sent 2 emails but no reply. And I paid $40 for shipping !! I am starting to get really upset. I found Own The Magic because someone on this site talked about the great items they got from them. I hope they haven't gone under or something.

Thank you for the link. I just read that posters concerns and it seems as if that is how they do business. I, like this customer will not order from them again. Sad as they do have decent prices on some of the items they have.

Thank you Figment. I have sent 3 emails to the contact link on their website and haven't heard a word. If I don't hear something soon I may give him a call :(.

I don't see a problem with posting his business information, especially since he has had my money from the minute I hit the send order button. If he would just answer the emails from the contact us link on his store site, there would be no need to dig further for additional contact information.

That is how I feel too!

I agree that 5/5 was a Sunday, but the money came out of my account on that very day. I didn't expect to get the items the next day, but I paid $14 for shipping and handling on $15 worth of merchandise. I have sent 3 emails to this seller and haven't even got a form letter back. I wanted to get shipping information and I don't see why they can't at least give me that info. I have already opened my dispute with Paypal as I honestly feel like I have been scammed. According to the address posted by Figment he lives in MS. I am in AL. so I could have walked to his store and back in 10 days.

I did not post any personal information.

Thank you again :).

I didn't wait the 45 days to file a dispute with Paypal, I filed it today when I did not get a reply from my 3rd email. I really want the two items I ordered, but I am concerned that this person may not have these items. I have checked the store site every day for the past week and the in stock count has not come down even by one. That seems strange to me as the items I purchased should have at least decreased the stock by one on each item!!!

I also have purchased something from them earlier this month (3 weeks ago now), and after 2 emails, I haven't heard back. My CC was charged however. I will send them another email this next Monday and if I don't hear back within 3 business days, I will file a BBB report with them.

Oh and I might as well add to the publicly available information that I found through google

It seems like a lot of these companies where someone goes and buys the merchandise from the parks take forever. Laughingplacestore.com has a similar structure and I ordered something in September for Christmas and had to end up cancelling my order and requesting a refund a week before Christmas when I still didn't have the item. I don't know if places like this can handle the volume (often it's just one or two people working it) or if they have trouble locating all the merchandise.

Hopefully you'll get your item(s) soon!

There is no excuse for not answering emails inquiring on an order status. I definitely won't be ordering from them. That is just poor customer service.

Yes, it was, and they never have answered, or given an explanation.

If it's things you can purchase at the Parks, why not just order from Disney directly?

This. The only things that Disney Mail order won't send you are food items, and some LE merch within a certain period of time after its release. They charge you the same price as if you bought it in the parks, and shipping is the same as if you had WDW ship something home for you. $9.95 for up to $50 of merch. You can get more info here -> http://allears.net/tp/mailorder.htm
