Have FOP FP+, so where to first in AK?

Haven't been to AK since Pandora opened and we have a FP+ for FOP at 12pm. My question is - where should we go at rope drop? If we bypass Pandora altogether, could we do Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl, Expedition Everest all within the first hour? (because most of the crowds will be at FOP or Navi?)

If you hit EE first you won’t have much of a wait. What about Na’vi River Journey?

If you can, swap those two around. Shouldn't be a problem if you're early yet. Then you can do Dinosaur - Primeval - Everest (twice) - Safari - FOP in one walk around the park with no backtracking.

Yes you can do all 3 of those in the first hour or a little over. If EE runs over that's fine, your FP is good 10-11. You'll have plenty of time. Can even grab food at Yak & Yeti or Harambe market in between EE and Safari.

I've read many reviews and think we might skip it in favor of shorter lines elsewhere. I am torn on that, though, hence my post here!

Those 3 rides should easily be done in the first hour (probably with time to spare). We did EE twice in a row and it didn't take much time at all. Much of the park will seem very empty as everyone heads to Pandora.

I would rope drop to Navi only because you haven't done it and the lines will only get longer.
Then over to Everest for a ride or 2. Then to the Safari. It should still be cool enough that the animals will be active.

I would use the single rider line at EE for your second ride. That will save you quite a bit of time.

We are doing this order:

1. Rope drop Navi
2. Safaris
3. Bugs Life
4. EE with FP
5. Dinosaur with FP
6. UP bird show
7. FOP with FP

I would rope drop Na’vi too. It should be quick and relatively easy and you will still be able to scoot off elsewhere after for rides with little or no wait.

I wouldn't necessarily skip Navi based on reviews here and elsewhere. If you can work it in your plan, you may want to go and decide for yourself. After just getting back from 8 days in the parks I definitely found that things others didn't like or things that didn't look that great on YouTube were often things that we liked. We (6 adults and 4 preschoolers) got to the AK at 8:45 on a 9:00 opening day. People were already being let through the tapstiles and we walked on Navi with no wait, came out and got in a very short line and rode it again. After the second time, the wait time was posted at 45 minutes. Navi is very beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. The kids loved it. We only wished it were a bit longer.

Do you need to ride Navi on this day? If not, I would go to Everest and then Dinosaur. You should be able to ride each twice without a problem. Then Primeval Whirl. We did this during 4th of July week. We had the rest of the park (as in, other than Pandora) to ourselves for a good hour after opening.

If you do need to ride Navi on this day, go there first. If you can save it for another day, it would be ideal.

The way I would go is Navi rope drop, Safari, EE FP, EE single rider, Up show(1st show 11am), Dino FP, Primeval, Bug's Life, FoP FP. Then eat in Pandora.

My only thought ‘against’ this is that I wouldn’t do Safari so early- it’s a long ride and would take up a lot of the short lines time.

I would also rope drop Navi. We thought it was a decent ride and the detail on it is worth seeing. If you get to Navi and it's insanity and you don't want to wait or deal with it, move along to something else. Prior to Pandora, we always rope dropped the safari and did a FP for it later in the afternoon as well.

One thing to be aware of, depending on when your trip is, Safari may not be open during morning EMH. We were planning to rope drop Navi then ride the safari, but it won't be open that early, so we are heading to Everest second instead.
