Have enough time to make reservation?

Our plane lands at 11:00 am and we'll be using MDE. Would we make it to Chef Mickeys in time for a 1:25 pm reservation? Thanks!

It will be very tight. You should be at your resort around 12:30. Which resort are you staying at? If it's not a monorail resort, you'll have to catch a bus to the MK and then speed walk to the CR. Or pay for a taxi to the CR, which would be faster.

But if your plane is delayed, you're likely up the proverbial creek. I'd recommend pushing it back even further. To, like, dinner time.

can you afford the $10.00 per person for bring a no show? it is very tight making this if on time but being 10 minutes late and it is not happening. late plane will not get no show fee dropped

Agreed. Any reason you have todo Chef Mickey's. The first day! I wouldn't like the stress of potentially missing a reservation! If you're not going to the parks the first day. I'd pick a restaurant for 5pm and chill at your hotel pool. Or go to Disney Springs

Where are you staying? That will make a difference. It's going to be very tight. There was the time I was staying at the CR, and had a 3pm thing I wanted to do...signed up, paid for. I had an 8am flight out of Boston, should have landed at MCO around 11ish, been at the CR by 12:30 at the latest. Yeah, no. We boarded the plane, on time, sat there for 30 mins, then were taken off the plane....mechanical issues. Had to wait until 11 to get a plane to us. We took off at about 11:30, got to MCO at 2:30 and arrived at the CR just as everyone was walking out of the function!!!!
So, stuff happens. For a flight landing at 11:00, I doubt I would have an ADR before 2, and even that's iffy. I seldom book anything for the first 6 hrs of my arrival day.

I don't make reservation with a cancellation fee on the first day, there is the risk of flight delays, DME delays and then possibly WDW Bus delays.

Unless your staying at the CR/BLT I wouldn't even try this - but I am cautious! If you are fine with risking the cancellation fee ($10 pp) and you really want to eat at CM the first day go for it.

Average time for DME is 90 minutes to resort, you will have to check in and drop off any carryon bags in your room or leave with bell services. Then you have to make your way over to the CR (if your not staying there), if your on the monorail loop it won't be so bad, otherwise your probably looking at a bus to MK and walk to CR.

If you want to share where your staying you can get more accurate predictions :)

Have a great trip.

I might try it if I was staying at the Contemporary or on the monorail loop, but only if that was the only time slot that would work for me during the week. I would do so knowing I was accepting the risk that flight delays or a slow DME would cost me money.

If all goes well, you'll be in line at DME at the airport by 11:30 and probably to the resort by 12:30. You'll want to check in, but your room very likely won't be ready yet, so you'll have time to kill at that point.
