Have DVC member mixer dates been posted yet?

I wanted to get down there for this but am very sad that they have it in the parks now.

I received different information regarding dates. MS told me Merry Mixer would be on Thurs., starting Nov. 29 thru Dec. 20 from 3-5 PM at World Showplace Pavillion. It's the same venue as last year.

Those calendar dates--weekly from Nov 29 to Dec 20--are the dates on which the Mixers were held in 2011. Also the DVC Condo Association meeting is scheduled for Thursday 12/13 this year. The Mixers and Condo Meeting have never occurred on the same date since the same staff would be assisting with both events.

I suspect the MS rep you spoke with was reading information left over from 2011.

That said, I wouldn't recommend anyone altering plans or changing ADRs until more solid information is published. Seems like just about every year Member Services gives out information which is later shown to be incorrect.

heathrow42's post mentioned a Mixer on Christmas Day and I don't think that has ever happened in the past. Not saying she's wrong...just that it does raise some red flags since it's a departure from past practices.

Anyone remember the time they started in past year? We're arriving late Wednesday and staying until Tuesday, ugh. I'm hoping we can get in for at least a little bit before having to go to the airport.

Just called member services about this -- They said Merry Mixers will be Tuesdays starting Nov 27 - Dec 25, at Epcot World Showcase (inside the park)

I called to get confirmation on this and they couldn't confirm but I think I got a newbie cuz she didn't even know what it was when I asked. I want to make sure I can go to this. and am thinking of Sun-Tues.

The mixers are put on by DVD, the DVC marketing folks at Disney. Same with the mixers at AKV and Welcome Home Wednesdays. If Disney is using these events to make us feel good about our purchase or for the opportunity to sell more points, then why don't they give more advance notice of the dates?

The other thing bugging me is that now we have to pay an Epcot admission to do the Christmas Mixer.
