Have deluxe resorts gone up in price?

They seem much higher than they were a couple of years ago. Am I correct?

Rates have changed for 07:

For the AKL, Contemporary, Beach/Yacht Club, Boardwalk and Wilderness Lodge, the rates have jumped up $10.00. Polynesian and GF have jumped up $14 & $16, respectively.

Moderates have jumped up $6.00.

Values have jumped up $3.00.

I want to say that they have gone up just a bit every year... I could be wrong though.. but that is how I have seen it..

They have gone up a little bit each year for the last 10 years.

I am going during peak season & ouch!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't touch a deluxe during that time
had to do moderate which I am not crazy about
but will not pay $400 for a room that is not worth it

Thank you everyone. It has been over a year since I have been to WDW and I was shocked how much the prices have gone up, especially WL. Yikes!

Yes indeed they have gone up a smidgen . I was looking at my Disney scrapbooks last night and found an old confirmation letter from the Contemporary Resort for 2000. The room was $244 with tax during the value season. Not sure what it is now.

Since we visited in June 05 and are visiting again in June 07, I made a chart of rack rates for both years. During regular season, WL rack rates before tax increased $26 for standard view, $25 for woods view, and $20 for courtyard view. Increase per year: standard: 5.4%, woods: 4.7%, courtyard 3.3%. I only charted regular season, but that doesn't seem an unreasonable increase over prior years. Of course, when you start at a ridiculously expensive price......
