I've heard mentioned several places (can't remember where now!) of people who do their Disney albums all with the basic Mickey colors (red, black & yellow). I thought that it would be interesting to just use supplies with that theme or colors but since their is such an array of colors in the pics am worried about how it will look when it is finished.

So I was wondering if anyone has actually made an entire album like that.

I actually did this... used a variety of different papers in only these colors. Had my photos developed in black and white. I made it abc theme as well...

Very fun way to go!!

I love the idea of printing the pictures in black and white with red, black, yellow papers! I might try that next time! :)

Do you have your layouts posted anywhere that you could share them?

Wow! I never thought of printing the photos all black and white! I have bought lots of Disney paper, much of it in the gold, red, and black colors. But I find that I use this type of paper the LEAST. Thanks for the great idea for a different looking book! That's what we read the DIS boards for!

Darby -- after seeing just those few pages, I am convinced that I'll be trying this technique for one of my upcoming trips. Your pages were great! Thanks for sharing.

I can't wait to see what you come up with! It looks like you will be arriving at Disney as we are leaving.

What are your dates? I'm taking a solo trip 5/30-6/8 and then going back with DH and his family during free dining (if I can EVER get through on the phone!) Aug 24-Sept 1. Not sure which trip to try the "mickey" colors on though. I'm thinking maybe my solo trip because when we go in Aug., it will be the first trip for our 2 young nieces and I am dying to use alot of Princess stuff.

We are going to be there on May 24th - 31st. We are taking our little man to the Pirate and Princess party on the 26th.

August is such a great time to go, I work for the school district so I can't make it work for us!!

Best scrapbook find these days were some Rusty Pickle Pirate Rubons...they say Pirate Princess... what makes them great is the little space between Pirate and Princess just big eenough to add an & .

I have done just this for a couple of my Disney albums. In fact, I usually do either red, black, or yellow as the page or as the accent for some Disney pages. I don't have anything I could post (I'm fairly new to scrapbooking as it is - I really can't imagine what dh would say if I started posting my pages on the DIS!!!) but it works out really cute. Also, those colors really match most of the available Disney themed embellishments.
