Have any of you bought Disney park passes from Under Cover Tourist?

I want to try this for our summer trip so we can upgrade them to AP's but I am a little nervous. I have never done anything like that. Thanks

They are great. I have bought from them many times. When my daughter lost her ticket while were in florida I was able to call them and tell them our ticket number and date we bought them and they faxed a copy of the back of her ticket to guest relations and we got a new ticket from disney and the CM at the window even was saying how great these guys were. Make sure you use the mousesavers link to save even more.

Yes, and plan to use them again for our upcoming trip (thanks for the reminder...time to order!).

Don't forget the special mousesavers link....

We used them last year and had no problems whatsoever. We received our passes really quickly, too.

I've used them multiple times to purchase tickets for various family members and have never had a problem. I just 5 minutes ago purchased 2 7-day hoppers for DD and DSIL for our December trip. Several years ago BIL left the tickets at home. Undercover Tourist worked with the resort concierge to re-issue the tickets.

WOW they sound like an amazing company. Thanks!!! I won't hesitate to try them now. Yes I will use the special Mousesaver's link. I got an email from them today with that link.

I have used them multiple times, with great success each time. If we ever don't have AP's, I will resume buying park tickets from them.

S0 are you upgrading your UT tickets to DVC AP's and having no problems doing so once you arrive?? Thanks

Yes, I've done that twice. Guest Services at the parks had no problem upgrading to the DVC AP.

We've never used them since we're going on our first family trip, and one that wasn't a package deal with passes.

But this time we went to AAA who also gave us AAA parking passes!! We'll see how that goes and maybe try this next time... depending on price!!!

Op, you mentioned that you are buying the passes and then upgrading to APs. I have seen other threads where people talk about doing this. What is the advantage over just buying the APs?

TIA!

Used them 2 yrs ago, no problems. Ordered for our upcoming May trip. They arrived within 7 days. I'm very pleased with them

If you are planning to upgrade Disney will only give you credit for what you paid if it were purchased from Disney if the ticket is purchased outside you only get credit for what the company you bought it from paid.
only buy from a discounter if you plan on using the entire ticket for what it is.
I have been buying from UC for over 5 years and never had a problem... Back when 10 day non exp. park hoppers with options were 350.00

Great prices and great service, I've seen other threads about ways that they've been really helpful when buyers have had problems.

No not true. If you use the ticket one day and then upgrade you get the Gate price that is current. SO......if you bought the ticket 3 years ago when it was cheaper....and used one day....and then upgraded....you would get the value of the current gate price toward the upgrade. :thumbsup2

Because you keep the discount that you bought it with. So if I buy a ticket for 90, and at the gate it is 100, I use that ticket. Then go in to upgrade. The ticket price will be "bridged" to 100, so I get credit of 100 towards the AP.

And if there's been a price increase since I bought the ticket, I get credit for that too.

(note: this does NOT work at Disneyland Resort! there you get credit for what you paid; no bridging)

I hope you haven't wanted to upgrade but decided not to b/c you didn't think you'd keep the discount...

I can only think of one instance where that happens, and it's not at WDW. It's with Disneyland tickets, certain military discounts. The military pays, for example, 90, but you are charged 95 (still a discount off 100, though). When you go to upgrade, you get 90 in credit and pay the difference...and you've now paid $5 more, total, because you paid 95 for that ticket. So if you're going to Disneyland and know you will upgrade to an AP, don't buy the discounted military tickets! Actually, don't buy them at a discount at all b/c there's no point for DLR.

I hate to seem lazy and not do the work myself but could someone who has done this - purchased tickets through Undercover Tourist then converted to Annual Pass ai Disney World - PLEASE post with numbers showing current prices from UT and tickets through Disney. I've read through other threads about this topic and there seems to be some conflicting info and/or confusion about how this works. I think it would be very helpful to see the process with numbers showing everything, like what you paid for UT tickets, what credit in dollar amount you were given when you upgraded based on CURRENT Disney admission prices, price for AP or PAP, sales tax, all that.
Sorry to ask so much but this is great information for all here and I'm not sure enough about how the process would work to attempt a post such as this. We've used UT before and love it but we've never upgraded.

Appreciation in advance!!!:worship:

Reference the bolded quote...

Any upgrade to a ticket must be done within 14 days of its first use, even if it is a non-expiring ticket, so you could not upgrade a ticket that you bought three years ago UNLESS it is still unused. In that case, you could use it once and then upgrade within 14 days.

If you use the ticket first and then do the upgrade they will give you the current Disney price towards your AP. i did this last year at guest services at AK.

I think the poster meant what you're saying. The exampe of buying a ticket 3 years ago, didn't use it then. Used it to get into the parks now, upgraded now, and would get the current gate value credited.

bevis... We have not done this yet, but this is what I expect.

We bought DS's kid's ticket for 199.95. A 7 day base ticket, from UCT through the Mousesavers link.

This superthread about tickets by a ticket-selling CM tells me that the current gate price of that ticket is 201, but that doesn't include the tax. So I'm heading over to disneyworld.com...where I find that the total of the current price of the 7 day base kid's ticket is $214.07.

So when DS uses his ticket, when we go to upgrade his ticket, it will be "bridged" so that it is now worth $214.07.

If we upgrade him to a 10 day base ticket, we'll pay the difference between that 214.07 and $223.65 (which is the current price of a 10 day base kid's ticket including tax). We will have saved 14.12. We will have paid 209.53 instead of 223.65.

Now if we decide we love WDW so much we'll come back more inside of a year, and we upgrade him to a normal AP (with DVC pricing), that normal DVC AP at this time costs $366.36. We'll pay the difference between the 214.07 that his ticket is worth and the $366.36 (which includes tax). Just like the other example, we will have saved that 14.12, as we will have paid a total of 322.24 instead of 336.36.

If there is a ticket price increase this summer, our savings will be more.
