have anyu of you been to branson missouri? we are going in aug. could you please tell me about it where is good to eat and what we should take in.

We were there a couple years ago, although we didn't really go into Branson.
Stayed mostly at our resort in Ridgedale which is right near it.

Go to Lamberts - Home of the Throwed Roll. It's usually a wait, but sooo worth it.

We went a few years back. We went to the dolly pardon dixie stampede. It was pretty good!! the food was great! and so was the show. it's been so long since we went that's all I can remember!! LOL
Hope you have a good time!!:cool1:

Been to Branson many times and we were there a few weeks ago.

Branson Landing has the newer restaurants and shops. However the strip has many, many restaurants as well.

2 favorites of mine are Landry's which is a higher end seafood place. And for that late night dessert or lunch, chili dog/burger place after you are go-carting around head to "Cakes and Creams". It is a bit hidden but it is right off the strip.

If you are looking for a cajun seafood buffet, there is a place called Starvin Marvin's.

LOVE LOVE LOVE BRANSON!!! :dance3:

No one shoot me but it tied with Disney World for us. Great shows great places to eat. My memory isn't working right now but let me get back to you about this. Yes, Dixie Stampede was very good food and excellent entertainment.

Branson Belle steamboat- also great food and great entertainment.

Haygood's, Liverpool Legends, Kirby, Comedy Jamboree, too many great shows to list. Legends- Dean Z is an excellent impersonator of Elvis. Sounds like him and drop dead gorgeous. I could go on and on. Great shopping malls. Great place to go for a vacation and much easier on your budget then Disney. Like I said I will be back with the best restaurants too.

Have a great time!!!

It has been a LONG time since I've been there - I drove down from Chicago a few times and I remember Table Rock Lake - swimming, skiing, boating. There was a dam tour and a fish hatchery tour that was surprisingly interesting. Silver Dollar City wasn't that far away and that was much much more spectacular than I expected. If you have any interest in crafting, it a must see. I gave my mom some hand blown glass from there that she treasures and I have some hand carved wood that I treasure!

I stayed with my friend's relatives so didn't eat out much. Saw a few shows - but country music isn't my thing. Still... the fiddle playing was awesome!

I went FINALLY!;)

It is 45mins north of Branson in Ozark MO and not really convenient if you are there just to do the sights in Branson. It is along our way home so I after many trips we went.

It was good. I had the meatloaf. The rolls were good. Whatever you order it is "all you can eat" but you cannot share and if you order seconds on your meal you cannot take that home with you. But you can take "firsts" home although they do not have the take home containers except styrofoam cups with lids and foil.

They do not do debit/credit cards but they will take checks and cash of course as an FYI.

Shepherd of the Hills--can tour and learn the story and they do a reenactment at night.

Horseback riding--(has been a few years, so not sure if place is still there)--just beyond SOH was a horseback riding place; doesn't look like much but they have been around for years; they do a breakfast ride as well as others

You aren't far from Springfield--they have a minor league baseball team, bass pro, shopping, etc.

Water park was nice; ducks boat tour; Silver Dollar City--we've gone for their breakfast buffet

Definitely Cakes and Creams!

Tons of shows to pick from--country, magic, you name it!

Mc Farlain's Family Restaurant in Branson has a secret table that sloooowly rises into the air.

When you go in, secretly ask to be seated at one of the rising tables.

But, shhhhh, its a LOT of fun when your family has nooo idea anything is going to happen!!!

You'll have to google it for location, that part I forget :confused3

Oh, and the food was really good, too! Fried green tomatos anyone?

We went to Branson during off season.. so we missed the shows.. I would go back for them tho.. lots of good ones out there.

We did go to Fantastic Caverns.. which is a cave tour. I have never been able to go to any cave tours due to disability.. but this one I was able to do because they drive you on a tram... it is pretty cool.. interesting too.

It is right outside Springfield, Mo.

Good Outlet shopping in Branson too.

Table Rock Lake is nice... too... and it will be Hot and Humid in August in Branson.

Have a great time!
