Have any Canadians in the September MagicBand test had MagicBands shipped to home?

We arrive at POR on Sept. 21 and just got the option to customize our bands today!!! I've been checking everyday. It also said today was our last day to do it so I'm so excited I looked again today!

Now I have to figure out the fast past thing. My Disney Experince account is so weird. The account is under my name and I am not able to do fastpass + but my name is in my family & friends account and u am able to book them through there because it says I manage that account??? So weird!

We are staying at the Beach Club and Contemporary (sept 19-27) and I got the option to personalize two sets of Magic Bands. Don't really need both sets, however. But it does suggest that the Beach Club and Contemporary are both part of the test phase in September.

I'm happy to pick them up at the resort...one less thing to forget at home.

We are still getting the "act quickly" message and we are arriving on Aug 30. Still waiting for the message/ email saying that the bands are shipped to POP. Seriously starting to wonder if we will ever get the customized bands.

We are staying at POR starting Oct 13. If finally was able to link my reservation to MDE but no magicband. Only after I checked in was I able to see the customize option and the shipping address. Sounds like they won't be shipped to me in Canada though? Also when I try to customize them, I'm not given any colour options other than gray anyways.

We are checking into POR on September 24 and I was given the option to customize MagicBands. It showed a deadline of August 24, and I was able to select colours for all the people in our party. I guess we will have to wait and see if they actually ship them.

I have read your posts on the September FP+ thread and I think what you did was genius : use the resort address and get then shipped there. Especially now I'm reading accounts of Canadians getting the gray bands instead of their customized ones? Sucks.

It was great in theory lol but it didn't work! I tried to ship them to CSR and it was an epic fail lol. They got shipped individually but the tracking number provided wasn't a UPS number and no one has any idea where the bands went. I called and had them report those bands as lost and they re-customized the bands for me and sent them to Pop.

It looks like Canadians can get customized bands as long as they customize them at least 12 days before arrival. At 11 days you would be provided with grey bands upon check-in.

I hope that works out for me! I'm still 35 days out. All customized and ready to go.

I'm not going until mid October and I am only given the option of gray bands when I try and customize

I'm 16 days out for a split stay at AKL then SSR and have FP+ selected, magic bands customized and have made my BOG lunch FP+.

I spoke with a lovely Disney Tech CM today who has confirmed that no magic bands are being shipped to Canada so nothing new there. I mentioned that my BOG lunch FP+ was not showing up in MDE and apparently no BOG lunch FP+ will integrate into MDE as the BOG lunch FP+ is still truly a test phase.

I was interesting that although I have 2 room ressies, I could only make 1 BOG lunch FP+.

I will be using 1 day of a 10 day PH,WPFM and then price bridging/upgrading to a new AP so will be interesting to see if all my FP+ are maintained through that transaction!

Looking forward to trying out the technology!

My CDN friend is there right now...FP+ all good for her. She customized her MB but they was a problem. Had to go with grey for a day or so. But the pink ones were delivered to POP for her. I have seen pics of her sporting Pink MB.

Apparently, all MB for outside US are shipped directly to resort.

The wonderful CM thinks the status hasn't been updated since our original shipping address is in Canada. She went into the account and updated the shipping address to POP. Now we just have to cross our fingers and hope that the customized MB will be waiting for us at check-in!

I am staying at Beach Club, arriving on Sept.3. I had the act quickly message for a while. I changed my address to the a beach a club address. Within a day the message changed and said my bands are now being customized and will ship soon.

But I thought the US was considering RFID chips for their passports, lol that could be a problem.

Not really since they wouldn't have to ship passports outside the US. You can go overseas with one, in an airport, etc, but maybe you can't ship them? Maybe it makes the postal system think it's an explosive device? Lol.

It's probably because mickey mail, and Magical Express tags are sent just regular letter mail, the magic bands are a rather sizable parcel.

It's also still in a testing phase, so they don't have all the shipping worked out yet for international guests.
