Have an easy fruit salad recipe??

That's what I do!

If you're using apples, pears, etc. that will turn brown, I usually toss those with some lemon juice and then add them to the salad.

If you're looking for something fancier, I get a whole watermelon, lay it on its side and cut it to look like a basket. Great for Easter! Use a melon baller to get the watermelon out of the "basket" area, and then fill with fruit salad. Easy and looks great!

yes cut it up and throw in a bowl. I don't add any extra juice but I don't try not to drip the fruit in the bowl either. I just cut over the bowl. hope that makes sense

I always add fresh pineapple. :cloud9: Buy a whole one and cut it yourself, it's so much cheaper than buying it already cored and sliced.

The only juice that I ever add to my fruit salad is the juice out of the canned pineapple chunks- not the syrup but the fruit juice. Dole is the brand I get. Then I add all fresh cut up fruit to the bowl.

I cut up whatever fruit I want - apples, banana, strawberries, mandarin oranges, blueberries - then I add a can of peach pie filling & mix. The pie filling keeps apples and bananas from turning brown. Bananas will get a bit mushy, so if I'm making this a day ahead, I wait until soon before serving to add them.

I make fresh fruit salad using watermelon (I cut that over a strainer over the sink so some of the juice goes down the drain), cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, kiwi, star fruit, strawberries, blueberries, fresh pineapple (never canned!) and sometimes I'll add a sliced banana or two just before serving (I don't put them in when I'm making the salad since they turn brown). I use a large Tupperware mixing bowl to put everything in, mix well, then just put what I need into a pretty glass serving bowl to take to the party, cook-out or whatever I'm making it for.

Apples, Pears, Bananas, Grapes, Strawberries, Rasberries, blueberries and mix with a container of yogurt in a flavor I don't have. I use whatever of the above fruit I have. It does not stay as long as plain but it is a nice change. The yogurt keeps the bananas from turing brown.

I add fresh mint to the fruit salad. This works best for berry-based fruit salad as opposed to melon based but both are good.

Our family recipe for fruit salad has homemade whipping cream mixed in with the fruit. It is delicious! Some family members also add chopped walnuts.

Yep... my mom adds a tub of cool whip and some nuts and shredded fresh coconut. YUM. Homemade whipped cream would be even better.

This is my favorite fruit salad recipe...has a nice sweet glaze.

1 Can Pineapple chunks
2 Can Mandarin oranges
6 Bananas
2 Heaping Tbs. Cornstarch
Pinch Salt
1/2 Cup Sugar

Mix sugar, salt, and cornstarch in pot. Throw away juice from mandarin oranges. Pour in pineapple juice and heat over medium heat. Pour over fruit. If doubling recipe, only add 1 extra can pineapple, 1 extra heaping tablespoon of cornstarch, and 3/4 cup sugar instead of 1/2.

I have one that's pretty basic. We've been eating Fuji apples, cored and diced with bananas sliced over that, with crushed walnuts on top. Pour a little orange juice over it. Very light, and refreshing. I've been eating it all the time. I love it! :)

Rinse blueberries. Rinse grapes. Throw in bowl. Done.
